Macpac Halo Down Jacket - $129.99 RRP $279.95

230

Quack Quack, it's cold!

This jacket was $99 two weeks ago, not as cheap as this, but still a good price. They wouldn't price match even tho i mentioned i missed the sale.

Tried on in the shop and it's pretty dam warm! great price for a great jacket in my opinion!

Also if you're buying online - the sizes are quite large, i would normally go a large but went a medium.

The legendary Halo down jacket is warm, compact and a great all-rounder – perfect for a range of activities – from urban adventure, through to travel, hiking and camping. Filled with 600 loft duck down, the Halo jacket will keep you warm in cooler temperatures throughout the year. It comes with an adjustable hem and elasticated cuffs for added functionality, and a separate stuff sac is included for maximum compression when storing or travelling.

I have this, and it's probably great for the coldest winter any Australian city can offer. Possibly even a little bit too warm at times (which means it's good at what it does).

Have to agree. Bought one for my wife and I and we wear it around the house. Heater barely gets touched

It also doubles up as a small pillow in it's case.

      • I have an old Bolle down jacket just for this - saves me about 5kw a night in winter which adds up fast, although I would be comfortable in a t shirt using the heater.

Of course I still use the heater in the morning as there's no way I would want to go through the 'before work morning routine' without a heater.

I wonder what ever happened to Bolle clothing? They used to make some really good winter gear and now they only make sunglasses?

Not so great here in Central Queensland where the min temperatures are being over 10 Celsius. More handy for you folks down in southern Australia and Tassie.

If it had a hood I probably would.
    Since it don't I guess I wont.

With a collar you'd still look baller
A beanie would do the trick, so you won't look like a…

      shady guy.

      • excellent flow and rhythm.

Unless you need this, I'd hold out personally. They have this for $99 quite regularly.

Because I've seen on sale a lot. I'd say end of season sale will see it $99.

But you know, I'm just a guy. I have no secret info.

Make your own call, just my opinion.
