Forgive a naïve question, but can anyone please confirm whether I can connect a portable HDD to this and play files on my TV via HDMI? Would a menu appear onscreen for selecting files to play? My Kaiser Baas Media Hub does this but H.265 is getting popular with uploaders, so I am considering a replacement. Thanks in advance for advice.
Also, am I correct in assuming this device ignores .srt files?
