  • Would not pre-pay for - hotel out to June 2017.

The list of exclusions makes this offer almost useless. All major hotel chains are excluded.
There is a 8% discount offer from visa with hotels.com that is much better.

      • Hotels welcome rewards
      • Generous cashback from Cashrewards(I believe around %5)
  • Just used this on a Disneyland hotel and saved $200. Amazing thank you!
When my partner tries to enter his card details though it says it's not valid.

sorry but i'm down voting this. expedia prices are 10% higher right now than booking.com. Therefore no bargain.

Great, had an existing expedia booking for next year. Cancelled it for full refund and just rebooked using this code. Saved $185. Thanks OP. Expedia was already 12% cheaper (before amex discount) than booking.com and hotel direct in this case.

  • Personal opinion:
By using hotels.com you are getting hotels welcome rewards which give you one night for free after 10 nights stay(You get credit in your account with the average of the last 10 nights) so basically you are almost getting %10 discount but not in cash, also you get %5 cashback from cashrewards(the approval process is very slow sometimes take over 6 months). Hotels.com also will price match any other website (Can be tricky sometimes especially with breakfast or free cancellation) :)

Expedia does the same thing. You get points for anything you book. You can then use these points on other hotels. I've got about $400 worth of points saved up at the moment. They're also offering bonus stamps on their preferred hotels and if you stay 6 nights you get 10,000 bonus points. Cash rewards offers 5.5% cash back for hotels as well.
      Expedia also does price match.
It really just depends when website design you prefer.

      • … and of course they actually have the same ownership:

Expedia, Inc. Looks like it doesn't apply to bank issued AMEX- Tried my ANZ Black Amex and with first 6 digits of card number to generate code with no luck - Title may need to be updated to reflect AMEX issued only?

    • credit card issued by American Express and/or its affiliates or its independent licensees in Australia

No idea whether it includes bank issued card but any six digits starting with 3760 should work.

    • Doesn't work with my ANZ Amex Rewards card either…

    • It worked with my Westpac issued card.

    • Doesn't work with my Commbank AMEX.

  • Just an fyi, CheapTickets.com current 18% discount is still cheaper for me when trying to book Carlton City Hotel Singapore for early September

  • Great … thanks a lot. Just used it on a booking and it saved me $50. Other websites had same pricing as Expedia … so a real saving for me.

  • I'm trying to book an IHG hotel but can't find any coupon code that works at the moment. Anybody know anything for booking.com/hotels.com?

  • Thanks for this! Saved approximately AUD 157 (USD 119) on a New Orleans hotel for September!

  • Booking Period: 16 Nov 2016 - 30 April 2017
    Stay Period: 16 Nov 2016 - 31 Dec 2017
You need to get a code, and that code will only work once, and only if you pay by AMEX
