  • Rep. Any sale fares upcoming for Japan, Jan 2017?

  • +1

    How much are they normally?

Was just thinking that myself. How else can we determine if there's a bargain in there?
That said Cathay is a great airline. It's probably difficult to say what the savings are given airfares are dynamic.

How else can we determine if there's a bargain in there?

        I can't…
It's not like I purchase international fares each month to know this is a good deal…

It should be up to the OP to justify why this is a bargain and not just advertising…

When are Rep posts a deal and pretty much logs off a minute later and doesn't hang around to answer questions makes me think this is not really posted as a bargain but it really just spam…

  • Had a look at over Christmas for Sydney - London (departing 22nd Dec, returning 3rd Jan for example). You can get a flight with Cathay or a 'cheaper' carrier for $2000, that's bloody good for Christmas. The $1500 for the next few months can probably be matched by most airlines if you choose the right dates.
Over that same Christmas period, 2 adults and 3 kids, $9800 with Singapore, brilliant deal, pity I only went in April!

Just returned from Europe flying Cathay. Aircraft were new or near new. Entertainment system was great - although limited English selection on some legs. Even has chargers for USB in economy.
Connections were not great however. Had 18 hrs in Hongkong on the way out and 8 hours on the way back. HongKong is not a great airport to be stuck in.

Why would you stay in the airport? The train makes it so easy to get into the city…

      • Went to Disneyland on the 18 hr stopover. 8 hours with 3 tired children who hadn't slept didn't seem like long enough. Also VERY hot and humid. Lounge in HK airport charges in hour blocks and expensive.

        • 3 tired children who hadn't slept

you should have turned off the in-flight entertainment system…

  • Should have booked a room at Regal Airport Hotel. for a kip and still time to go out.

  • Can we get a multi-day stopover in HK with this fare? Because a flight to HK and Eur/US at that price over Christmas would be a great deal!

  • I booked on cathays last deal,

    and got Perth-New york-Vancouver-Hong Kong- Perth December 26th - March 5th
All stop overs, all for 1650$
Add the stop overs in the Multi city trip builder.
