This is one of the newer partition managers with excellent features.

it has all the usual stuff and can create windows to Go : copy of your OS on a pen drive ( which we have innumerable from deals on OzB )

This along with its sister application AOMEI Backupper helped me migrate my OS from HDD to the SSD ( Also obtained from deal on OzB !!)

Hi OP. I assume 100% discount = free. Maybe put the post under "freebie", or "Phoebe" if you like Lisa Kudrow

  • +2

Looks like you can activate it anytime with the supplied code, so more useful than some freebies. Download is about 20 MB.
    Thanks OP.

  • Quick question, could this be used to adjust the petition on a dual OS 32GB tablet running Windows 10 and Android?

    • +1

There's a petition on dual OS tablets? Where do I sign?

But to answer your question, while the software could resize the partitions, and the Windows side would probably be ok with it, the Android side might not like it.

Haha sorry auto correct got me again, should read partition. I bought my son a chinese 32GB tablet and apparently the Windows share of storage is insufficient and could do with some extra space. That was my thought that Android could be an issue.

        • Yeah I'm just not sure if android expects the partitions to start at a particular location. I guess it could all be changed, just need a bit of effort.

Does it have an sd card slot? Otherwise if you don't want android could always remove those partitions all together and resize the windows one

        • @bamzero: Yeah it does have an SD card, at this stage we want to keep Android for games but if that changes it could be 100% Windows.

  • Thanks. Also for anyone wondering, the site provides download links for the license and software after submitting the order, so any email address will do, no need to check email for download links after.

  • Does this fix corrupted hard drives?

    • +1

      You need SpinRite for that.

    • Mechanical issues or file corruption?

  • how "safe" is this software?

    • +1

Do you think "they" are using it for nefarious purposes?

    • +2

As well as Partition Assistant, I have been using AOMEI Backupper for years to create disc images. Very reliable & user friendly software. There are freeware versions, but I suggest grabbing the Professional versions while available.

    • +1

Aomei Backupper is rated as the best freeware backup program if that helps, its' kind of like Avast or Avira of the backup world.

While browsing at windowsdeals.com, If anyone was interested while they were there and looked at Piriform CCleaner, you can get a better discount than they offer by either using at checkout

(These are case sensitive by the way)

    20% CODE:
    "PIRIFORM20"
    "JUNE16"
    "JULY16"

    15%?? CODE:
    "PIRIFORMROCKS"

There's a bigger discount code, I just forgot what the keyword was… I did a 'manual brute force' method a couple years back to get Pro Plus…
Don't really need it now, all the SSD's wont use defraggler… but god was it good for windows 7.

If I come across the code again, I'll post up a link.

CCleaner isn't really worth buying, the only feature you get by buying it is to make it automatically run on a schedule which is kinda pointless unless you have a 32gb/64gb windows device.

      • +1

I know.. I was just making up for all the years I pirated software. It was like buying Contraption Maker on steam, and telling the devs I only bought it because I pirated The Incredible Machine when I was 8.

        • +3

LOL, yes … I even purchased WinZIP recently - because I had been using the trial version for many years. (And I use 7ZIP almost exclusively anyway). I also purchased my own Camtasia Studio a few weeks ago - even though I have a legal license from work to use it at home - because it had helped me win some awards and $$ at work. Give back to the devs when their software helps you ! :)

        • @Moose-au:

Yep. and someone posted something about DVDFab yesterday after I finished typing the post in here… I was going to have a cry in that post "Oh man… memories! Now I have to give back…ffs" … and that was another one on my pirate list… there was another thing that came with it… can't remember what it was now… this was WinXP days… and I haven't had to rip anything for ages.
I think the program for secureRom or something… or Nero even…. I can't remember :'(

WinRAR. Alcohol 120. MBAM. LimeWire Pro… now I'm just rambling my bucketlist… I remember the first time I used Limewire. I used the trial version to download Pro. I was so proud of myself, and all my friends were impressed because they didn't think to do that. Ah… highschool.

        • @Moose-au:

          Ah that explains this

        • @NeoBeum:

Makes me think back, so long ago now, trading games on floppies…

        • @bamzero:

          Tie Fighter needs a reboot.

      • Theres also hundreds of keys that unlock standard to pro scattered all over the place… But you didn't hear me say that

    • I cracked the 30% off code:

      PIRI30

They tend to cycle through similar codes

If the bad old days, there was only one product that could perform partition operations, and that was Partition Magic. Then was a awkward period when they stopped updating the product. But now there are about 10 products that fill this niche, and most of the payware ones have cut-down freeware versions that are probably all an average person needs.

I really like Minitool Partition Wizard. It is fully feautured, you can queue multiple operations, it has never messed up, it has a small footprint and doesn't dump a heap of rubbish into the registry or folders outside it's installation directory. I have heard other people praising Macrium Reflect. Before partitioning a new hard disk, I check it throughly for bad sectors, and prefer HDTune for the task.

I also recommend the freeware EasyBCD if you have more than 1 installation of a Microsoft OS, or for repairing corrupt BootLoaders. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/EasyBCD.…
