  I like the look of these but last time I saw one in action it doesn't get as hot as the normal patio heaters.

    I have a FireStick version of this. You're right it's not as effective at heating. Great price though.

  How much Gas do these suckers use? How long is a bottle going to last roughly?

    They last quite a while. I don't know exactly, but I used to run mine once or twice a week for a couple of hours and it lasted a 2-3 months.

    So under fair use, you might only have to fill a bottle up once or twice over winter ($20-$40)

  These are ornamental.
  Look cooler than other heaters but rubbing sticks together will keep you warmer.
