  • Previously it was $50 if Budget's quote was higher than AAMI, GIO etc. I wonder if that makes previous customers invalid to apply for this new (and IMHO far inferior) offer?

I find Budget Direct very, very competitive.. BUT these $50 vouchers for Cellarmasters are floating around everywhere, tons of companies are using them as sweeteners.

I've got about three of them right now, but I've found that the Cellarmasters prices are nowhere near their competitors, they tend to try and sell inferior wines at jacked up prices.

They tend to throw in free cartons of beer which makes their 'variety packs' come out about even compared to the big retail stores, but not anywhere near the other online wine outlets. And you can't use the $50 coupon for anything that has beer in it anyway.

Bottom line: Spend $120 on $60 worth of wine at Cellarmasters and even with the $50 coupon you're still better off going somewhere else…

Its pretty easy to get a cellarmasters wine voucher from many sources without providing all those details … Their wine isnt that bad - not fantastic but a few good bottles - I dont mind there medium priced red combos. Its better if you bundle it with other offers (such as free ridel glasses etc) that they have from time to time.

  • too much for $120 of wine

Woooo Hoooo - free wine and car insurance go together like macaroni and cheese!

    NOT A FREEBIE !!!

You still need to spend $120!

A Freebie MUST be entirely free, with no credit card details required and no further money required.

    • We agree on this point; please click on the Deal's "-" button (at top of page) to let others know…

This is HARDLY a -free- offer if I have to spend $70 to take fair advantage of it…

I'd way: Call it -deal- but -NOT- a FREEBIE.

    • Some truth to what you say. Have edited the post and removed the FREE in the title. Its redundant anyway as you get a $50 voucher as it says for getting a quote so the FREE is implied.

With that your negative vote is now removed as the issue is resolved. Thanks for raising it. Although the report button does get attention from mods faster.

      • ozpete, thanks for the correction.

    I guess it's semantics

The OP was posting that you get the $50 voucher FREE when you get a quote from the insurance company. In this way it's a free voucher as you're gaining the voucher with no cost to you.

If the post was FOR Cellarmasters then I'd agree with you. But it's for the insurance company offering the free voucher.

And I wouldn't bolt for the neg button and claim it's a 'scam' :)

you can get $50 off easily without having to do that. not worth it. no deal.

    • +1

u might want to show us where
or mods will prolly remove this negative

    • Please share if you know of other ways. $50 off is decent when used in conjunction with some of their packs.

Your comments are important and so is your vote, but you forgot one thing. You need to give evidence to back up your claim.

While this is also to stop people making wild claims, its is more important as a way of sharing your wisdom with others here, so instead of mods or others having to waste time searching for info, that you refer to, a simple post of the url will just help everyone here.

This is a sharing site, so just take the next step and complete the process for everyone's benefit.

Left vote even though it isn't technically valid as Neil has gone the extra mile and posted the relevant links for you

  • Voted down, think it's a very poor deal.

  • Drink driving hehe
