Weber Smokey Mountain 18 Inch Smoker $479.99 at Costco Auburn NSW (Membership Required)

200

Hi all,

This awesome smoker is now available at Costco. RRP in Australia at a Weber dealer for this size is $749 so this is a bargain. I paid $399 for the 14 inch model a few months ago.

Great smoker for making pulled pork, ribs, brisket, and many other slow cooked smokey goodness foods.

Weber link is as follows: https://www.weberbbq.com.au/barbecues/charcoal/smoker/47cm-w…

Has built in lid thermometer and a grommet on the side for using a better thermometer.

    • any idea where to get the electric hot plate though?

    • This is cool but I would worry about the longevity of running a hot plate for 12 hour smokes which probably is not designed for that kind of usage. Also not sure how easy it would be to maintain the correct temperature.

The AU RRP is crazy, but the Costco price is within earshot

    USD 299 + ~USD27 CA sales tax = ~AUD429

Happy to give Costco $50 to ship and stock the sucker here.

Bought one OP. Thanks. There were 4 left at Auburn as of yesterday 530pm.

Just out of curiosity, how many were there when you went?

    • Probably 8 or 10. Enjoy using it, I cooked up a brisket (purchased from Costco Auburn) on mine yesterday - it was very delicious.

  • I saw a 14''one at Moorabbin today. $349.
