Harry Potter and The Cursed Child - Parts I & II $25 Shipped from UK @ Book Depository

53

Just ordered the new book for $25 delivered. I understand that this is not a good deal as the BIG W one. But at this point of time this looks like a good price as the cheapest price in ebay is $32.

  • I had called a couple of Kmarts on Tuesday but none of them had in stock. Not sure about today.

  • Picked one up from Bass Hill K-Mart on Wednesday night. They seemed to have plently, was there to buy quilt and noticed it.

Now you can snuggle up with a good book

Most stores have run out in my area so this is a good deal for me. Even the store selling them for $45 each has sold out. Only thing stopping me now is I have a good 600 pages on my current book to go.

  • Will this arrive before your local Big W has it back in stock?

  • +1

My BigW (Canberra) had new stock yesterday, so I picked one up for $20

  • $20 at just about any retailer in Aus
    Many BigW stores have stock

  • Try costco… Saw it for around $20 at my local store

    • yea i got mine for $20 from Auburn Costco too

  • Thank you tavk…I ordered mine yesterday.
Book Depository are the next best website other than Booktopia.

I understand this is OzBargain, but I think some people get a little too hung up on the price aspect of things sometimes. I have seen many many people on facebook asking where to find this book or if anyone has finished and is ready to re-sell as almost all aus retailers are out of stock. For $5 more than retail price and peace of mind, I think people would be happy to know about this deal.

    • How long will this take to ship? But the time it does, will your local retailer have it in stock for only $20? This is OzBagain not OzPeaceOfMind.

      • Will they have it in stock for only $20…….that's the million $ question in the statement.

Also you have to take your time to go to said store to collect on the assumption they have it in stock (free if you walk but otherwise petrol, tram, train, Uber, taxi to factor in). For $5 you could stay sat on the couch scratching whatever you scratch safe in the knowledge your book is on it's way.

That alone could be a bargain

    • :(

    • agreed Vers3

It's a first draft. I'd say people are right to seek a bargain in this instance. Also, $5 is a huge difference if you are looking percentage-wise… 20% difference!

  • OP am I right when I read this as being the official script book of the West End production. Is that the same as the actual story book?

Strike that, answered my own question

Target price matched for me on release day even though they were aware that KMart and BigW were out of stock.

  • Funny how this book doesnt have a rrp on it. Anyone can charge anything despite it being 29.95 rrp…

  • Just came back to say thanks OP. Long after all the local stores have sold out of stock, and me finding it in book stores for up to $45, I picked this up for my girlfriend and was very happy with the price.
