I suppose millions of people out there must be under the delusion that Kelloggs cares about their health rather than just getting them to eat as much as possible.

If you want to lose weight a good start would be to stop consuming a breakfast that is designed to cause you to eat as much as possible.

The main reason I exercise is so that I can eat as much as possible… mmmm…. ice cream, cakes, lollies, chips etc…

I'm deep into a cut and I still eat All Bran daily alongside nutrigrain. All Bran is full of fibre and keeps me full for a rather significant amount of time. 45g of All Bran is a tonne.

        Both have too much sugar.

Go for the no-name bran and you'll be better off.

Plenty of other (actual) nutritious breakfast cereals on the market:

        • Ehh. 7.5g of sugar per serving. I don't eat sugar sources outside of it and bananas and blueberries everyday so i'm not oo concerned by any means.

I will definitely look into your list though.

          Cheers!

Heh. The entire reason Kellogg exists is because they cared about health, just not the type of health that you think. The founder (Kellogg) invented corn flakes in the hopes that his plain cereal would stop people from masturbating. Kellogg - and by extension corn flakes - is one of the reasons why circumcision is so common in the U.S.

anyone got an ebay or alienexpress link to the tracker for 1 cent delivered?

  • It looks more like a regular pedometer than a fitness tracker (a la Fitbits or Jawbones).

  • I need one of these fitness trackers that has a stopwatch or timer for Interval training. Don't really care about step counts.

    • +25

I believe you call them digital watches

  • How does this compare to the fitbit? Just got one last week, should I return it and get this one?

Would this be popular if deal was listed as free pedometer worn on the wrist, which it seems to be???

From recent Canadian Kellogg Special K* Activity Tracker promo - probably similar/same wrist pedometer unit here:

Instructions for Setting Up Your Activity Tracker to set the time, date, weight, height and step length…

3 buttons - mode, up, down (like a digital watch / basic pedometer)
To change screens from the clock to display steps, distance, calories, timer, and average pace, continue to press the mode button

    Silicone Band
    No connection to external device!
Only basic details stored on unit, unlike most fitness trackers.
Not rechargeable - Battery type: two CR1220

May be OK for the kiddies, but don't get it wet.
Only worth the trouble if already buying Kellogg Special K.

    • They also looks like the ones that came with tins of Milo.

      • +1

Looks similar. But, I'd say the Milo Champions Band (kids fitness band) costing $40 including tin of Milo would be far better than the unit in this promo, based on the similar Canadian Kellogg Special K* Activity Tracker promo details.

The Milo ones sync with Android or Apple App. But at the price, a tin of Milo on special & a fitness band (basic Xiaomi Mi Band etc) from China could be cheaper.

  • Special K is always on Special

    • $4 a box for regular Special K 535g @ Coles, at least in VIC, not sure about other states.

  • So i just sign up before i even read comment cos i thought its something like fitbit … so its just a toy for child to wear ? I thought it too good too .. damn

While we're on the topic, can anyone recommend a good fitness tracker?

I'm primarily interested in accurate heart rate monitoring.
Not particularly interested in sleep tracking, GPS, smartphone notifications, or even having a touchscreen.

I'm looking at the Garmin Vivosmart HR (not HR+) at the moment.

    • +1

I've been using it (VSHR) since April. HR monitor is quite good for me, but it checks heart rate every minute or so, which may be not good for HIIT workouts. I've also found that their calories expenditure algorithm is quite accurate too, it's not giving me some crazy numbers as my stationary bike or some other android apps.
Take a look at https://forums.garmin.com/forumdisplay.php?556-vivosmart-HR-…, but overall I am quite happy with mine.

Well if nothing else all the comments are amusing and help to pass the time I guess.

  • Did anyone get a confirmation email after taking up the offer?

    • No, no confirmation email for me and still waiting on it.

wow i dont even remember ordering this thing but it just turned up in the mail today.

    • Yes, received mine today too. My 7yo is very happy! :D
