    this makes me mad seeing this as a promotion when free shipping used to be always with them.

      You're mad that they're trying to not go out of business in a increasingly more competitive business with worse FX rates?

      Seems fair.

      • +2

        I'm after no man sky for ps4 they sell it for $77.99 while jbhifi sell it for $79

        they used to be competitive now they are the same and higher price than brick and mortar stores within Australia.

        Postage cost is just another reason why it's been years since ive bought from them.

        • -3

          It's free delivery for orders over $50, which is most games, so your point is moot.

        • +2

          @Sir Casm: Most game cause they are overpriced to begin with.

        • So wait a second, they sell it cheaper than JBs, but you're still whinging?

          Wow

        • +3

          @Spackbace: So you call $1 cheaper for an imported NON Australian stock that you would have to wait weeks for it to arrive a bargain?

        • -2

          @Axelstrife:

          They sell it cheaper than the high street retailer AND deliver it for free, and yet you still think it's "overpriced"? Logic/10

          Clearly you have no understanding of how business works - shipping for free means the order has to be picked, packed and then delivered (all involving labour costs), which eats in to any margin there may have been. Expecting free shipping on low value (ie <$50) is not reasonable.

          The fact that those of us who can't access the big stores with their buying power means getting the same product, delivered, and for cheaper ($2 is still $2) is impressive.

        • @Axelstrife:

          I didn't say it was a bargain, but you said this:

          now they are the same and higher price than brick and mortar stores

          But they're not…

          Simple, if you want the game just wait for release, or pre-order from somewhere cheaper

          @Axelstrife:

          Oh and BTW, 10% Off @ OzGameShop. Pity it excludes pre-orders though…

        • @Sir Casm: Same product? Nope it is an imported game certainly not the same product.

          you seem to not know this but games are NOT region locked however ps4 game DLC's are region locked meaning you would need a PSN account to purchase the dlc from whatever country the Game originated in.

          it's most certainly not worth a $1 saving to deal with this.

          @Axelstrife:

          Have you ever thought for a second, that rather than OGS increasing their prices, it's actually due to B&M stores reducing their prices?

          Gone are the days of every store offering a new title for $89.95 or $99.95. Instead the B&M stores are choosing to be competitive…

          No, guess you didn't think about that

    They don't normally do free shipping?

    I literally just got a heap of board games a few weeks ago and it was free shipping?

    • They do free shipping for orders over $50

  • Minimum spend is $30.

  • Saw this on Cashrewards the other day, it has a $30 minimum spend

    They normally offer free shipping on orders over $50

    • Does cash rewards mention when this code will expire?

      • I think they had it marked as yesterday :/
        It's still working?

  • Is there anything on the site for 1c? :P I want to get The Witcher 3 for Xbox One and it's $29.99.

  • These guys drop-ship which I don't necessarily have a problem with, but they should be up front about it.
    Expect to be waiting several weeks to receive anything.

    • -1

      Perhaps things have changed, but I ordered headphones in late 2014 & received them in under a week.

      • Ordered baby monitor recently and it took that long, then it arrived without any UK-AUS plug adaptors so we had to pester their support and then wait another 2 weeks to get those.

  • One thing that does suck is that you can't combine with your player points. Surely they could let us do so in this situation!

  • +1

    If you're going to wait a week for something like No Man's Sky, you might as well buy it from Base (http://www.base.com/buy/product/no-mans-sky-ps4/dgc-nomnskps…) for $64 delivered (VAT is removed at Checkout).

    Stuff usually arrives in 5-10 days.

    I regularly scan OzGameShop for cheap games but they're useless.

    • Have you ordered much from base? Can't say I've ever browsed their site before but I'm having a look now.

      • Yup! Have ordered 5 or 6 things. The games can be pretty cheap compared to Aus retailers when they're 'On Special' (hint, make a wishlist :P) but can take like 2 weeks to arrive.

        I own a lot of games already so there is more than likely some stellar deals that I've missed. Keep in mind there are two vendors selling games on the site.

        Base.com is the main seller, they include VAT on their advertised price and it is removed at the checkout.

        BaseCH advertises their prices without VAT (it would seem) so what you see on the product page is the final price.

        Shipping is cheap too for games :)
