How did you purchase it? It defaults to $99 once I sign into my PSN.

  It's in the US store, as per the header and OP's post, you must be looking in the Aus store.

  You'll need a US PSN account and top up PSN credit to purchase the game (via the US PSN store, not the AU one).

  The PS+ subscription is optional.
  
  If you prefer to game using your Australian PSN account, you can set the new US PSN account as a Primary account on your PS4 (under Settings), and any games on your US PSN account will be shared and playable across all users.

An absolute cracker of a game, easily my favorite FPS this gen. Surprised it's so cheap so soon, highly advise anyone looking for a new FPS to give it a try! Especially at this price!
