  • 1min from posting and the 2TB is gone lol…

    • No; it's still there, just provide the code at the checkout.

      • Ah so it is cheers

Good price on the Motorola G4 Plus 16GB, was $399 on release a few weeks ago. The 16GB model has 2GB RAM, the 32GB model has 3GB RAM. Looks like Officeworks are matching TGG who have it on promo for $379 until tomorrow, but Officeworks gives free shipping unlike TGG eBay store.

Is anyone selling the 32GB version? Struggling to find it anywhere…

    • Its not a bad phone. I got one for $235 all up and pretty happy with it.

I think you are referring to the Moto G 3rd Gen?

This is the Moto G4 Plus which was released here about 3 weeks ago.

        • My bad. Moto G4, not plus.
It was only GBP159.95 at Argos, with a 26GBP VAT refund = GBP133.
After card fees etc it came out to $235.60 AUD.
(That was a little over 3 weeks ago, so prices may have dropped now)

Note: For anyone travelling to the UK, The G4 Plus is an extra 30GBP from Motoroladirect (approx $40 more after VAT refund), so about $275 AUD, however there is some lead time involved for delivery, so you need to order in advance.

        • moto G4 plus indian version do take telstra and optus, using both sims.
          I got mine for 260$.

        • @Tiggrrrrr:

Ah sorry. Nice, that's pretty good value for $105 less. Just looked it up and it seems the regular G4 is just a slightly lower MP camera than the G4 Plus (13MP v 16MP) and no fingerprint sensor.

        • @hamza23: TBH I didn't realise there were two models! But yeah, now I'm annoyed I didn't got through Motomaker and get a personalised version.

        • @Tiggrrrrr:

          Yeah it's pretty confusing. G4 16GB/2GB > G4 Plus 16GB/2GB > G4Plus 32GB/3GB > G4Plus 64GB/4GB

        • @Tiggrrrrr:

The G4 is hugely overpriced in Australia. The 32gb plus sells for under 300 dollars in India on Amazon, everyday price. India actually has higher taxes, The Galaxy S7 for example is $900 in India.

I can't think of a reason for getting the G4 over the Nexus 5x. Motorola are also no longer the best OEM for updates.

        • @APN Adelaide: Can i ask where you got it?

        • @halfnhalf71: Gave money to a friend and he brought it from India.

        • @scynaz: Totally agree, after hearing their plans of OS update. Now i think i should have gone for 5X.
But yea Camera is good and the 25W turbo charger with their phone is really great.

          @hamza23:

The Plus seems to handle very low light really well though if these are anything to go by.

  • I managed to order the 2TB, maybe I beat Cobrin to the last one? LOL

    • lol I better stop looking at the 4TB externals.

  • Motorola Motorola Moto E 2nd is still good enough for me. Thx.

  • Anyone know if these Toshiba drives are any good to fit inside a laptop as second hdd? I'm running out of space on my Mac mini plex server!

    • to answer my own question (I had a spare moment while on the loo) SORTOF, the Toshiba drive is 15mm thick so it may not fit every laptop. in the case of mac mini it can physically fit in the secondary HDD slot but is likely a very tight fit and may cause issues due to poor heat dispersion. IMHO better off with something thinner

  • Any 4tb portable drives on sale ?

  • Is it a shared microSD/sim slot or can i have SD card and 2 sim cards? In Moto G4 Plus

    • You can have MicroSD + 2 Sim cards

Bugger, I bought the G4 Plus from Officeworks via Mobilecitiy pricematch last Saturday….Guess I will have to get another one and return my previous one…Does anyone know if they are cool with that?

  • Cheers!

Moto g4: any bargains/recommendations for cases + tempered glass screen protectors ?
