Wagamama? $7 for $20 worth of food?
Based on their dishes, that's not really a deal for me. That's just fair.
To each his/her own I guess.

    • +1

yeah I've commented on here before about Wagamama based on 4 "dining" experiences with them at different locations.

The restuarants may look fancy and hip but paying restaurant prices for a food court experience is not my idea of a good concept. The food isn't even as good as what you'd find in many food courts or hole-in-the wall Asian take-aways.

  • That's probably about what the food is worth based on my experience. At least for the TGV restaurant. I suppose if you are going to be in town and the weather is good you could take the food to Hyde Park. Otherwise if the weather is bad like now you'll want a sit-down meal.

  • LOVE IT - can't get anything else decent for $7 in the city!

  • Can you have a sit-down meal at the restaurant with this voucher? The comment says spend the voucher "at www.wagamamatakeout.com.au" implying this can only be used for take out meals.

    • I dont think anything stopps you from ordering take away and eating it in.
as the prices are exactly the same for dine in and take away.

      • But what will you do when you turn up at the restaurant and they hand you your takeaway package? Ask to be seated? I can understand if they won't seat you, cos space is expensive in the CBD.

        • As per the comments you go and order at thr teller and sit whereever you want.
or just grab a take away. $7 is not bad guys.

          • @bashar20: But can you use your coupon at the tellers? Isn't it an online order only deal?

            • @retiredfeline: you order online from mobile or something. wait for your order grab it and set down.

              • @bashar20: Then what? You sit while they prepare the order, and meanwhile the waiter asks you if you want to order something, and you say that you've ordered online, then maybe they tell you you can't sit down if you've ordered online. Why would they call the website www.wagamamatakeout.com.au if they're going to let you occupy a seat and still save $13. Sorry, that doesn't make sense to me. If you get this to work, let us know.

                • @retiredfeline: whats teh problem in takeaway in first place?
if you like wagamama then this is a good deal.
if you hate wagamama, a free food offer wont be good enough for you.

                  • @bashar20: I merely questioned whether you can still eat-in and pay only $7 as you claim. So it seems you are not really sure. I know that it's the same price eat-in and take-away. They wouldn't give you $13 free if there weren't any strings to it. In this case it seems that the condition is that you take-away and save them a space, allowing them to serve more customers.

Whether the food is worth $7, that's up to each buyer to decide.

                • @retiredfeline: I'm pretty sure that you can only use this for take-our meals. Anyone considering buying this for dine-in meals better call to confirm. I almost bought 4.

  • not gonna vote neg, but i would recommend against eating at this restaurant its over priced and taste is bland, very bland. I guarantee if you eat at wagamama you will most likely pay a visit to MacDonalds to just fill youself up.

if you want Japanese noodles and your in TGV go one more floor up to ichiban you be happy you did, cheaper and taste better.
