  No the base is not removable so the footprint will be quite large. I have the European Krups branded version of this from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/56608 I do not use the milk frother either but it has lasted me nearly 5 years and is still going strong

Good deal. I still had a $50 voucher from a previous ebay deal which i used. Could not stack but hey…. Looks like this usually retails for around $400.00 normally.

We have the same machine at work, it's fine but the frother has lots of issues.
