        I think they are copies. I bought the original version through them and the cards are very poorly made and are starting show considerable wear and tear. I'm going to jump on this amazon offer and report back the quality difference.

        Awesome game though, I personally haven't played the NSFW edition, but the original is excellent.

          I think you're right. I remember reading about dodgy copies of these and cards against humanity that are on eBay. Worth supporting the developers on these, well reviewed to be great games.

          I can confirm these are fakes. I got one from ebay and an original NSFW edition from amazon there is a large difference between the boxes quality and a medium difference between the cards, reported them to Paypal as fakes and got a full refund :D

          IMO it will last long enough for you to be interested in the game (6-12mths), but depends on your personal preference - you seem to have made your preference for the legit copy clear in your last comment.

        We used to play it at work during breaks. You'd need a very low tolerance threshold to get upset about the game. The arts completely irrelevant to the game itself to the point where after a dozen plus games I'm seeing cards I don't recognise because I pay them so little attention.

    is the nsfw edition a stand alone game? or is it an expansion of the original?

      They're the same game just with different art. You can mix the decks if you want more cards, or buy two of the same ones. I'd say two decks is worthwhile if you plan to have five or more people play (you can get away with one deck for five people though).

      I think it works best when you have a number of spare defuse cards in the deck. Each deck ships with 6, and players get one to start with so the more players you have the fewer random defuse card pickups there are.

    I invented a new game to save $40. Required: a deck of cards and the rules to Exploding Kittens. 2-5 players.

    Aces = Exploding kittens
    Kings and 2 Queens = Defuse (discard 2 Queens)
    Jack = Nope
    2 = Attack
    4 = Skip
    6 = Favor
    8 = Shuffle
    10 = See the future
    3, 5, 7, 9 = Cat cards

    It works best if you haven't played Exploding Kittens before, less confusion.
