I just discovered this Terms & Conditions page for an eBay coupon. This is targeted. This might work with your eBay no matter what email you have received.

  • I didn't receive the coupon in an emaill. I told google to email me when it found a new result for pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/.

  • My REALLY old account has the coupon lol.

  • +2

worked! I think if your account is eligible for this offer, the ebay homepage will have the $20 off information.

  • Now working for me on either of my accounts

  • Still didn't work for me.

  • Just happened to be buying something off eBay for 116, can confirm the code didn't work for me, didn't think it would but thought I'd try it anyway.

Cheers OP on behalf of anyone this does work for though :)

  • it works in the account that haven't used for a while.

  • Damn. I went through checkout on 2 items and it failed.

  • No go — "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."

  • My active everyday account has it, but the backup account doesn't. Weird targetting

  • thanks for the heads up, worked on my wife's account. she had the code and wasn't even gonna use it.

  • Can I use this in conjunction with the click 20 promotion. They did send it to my email address.

    • +1

If it's a voucher, no. You can never use more than 1 voucher on eBay.

  • I had a spend $30 get $20 off coupon on my new account. but it was a unique code. bought some stamps with it.

  • Not really related, but what happens with click and collect when purchasing an item from a private seller?

I ask, because if I select click and collect, the item says "ready for collection Fri 19 Aug", but if I select normal postage, it says "est delivery 24 Aug"

Does the item just get sent to the click and collect location?

  • Worked on my wifes account. She hasn't used it for years whereas I've used my account a few times in the last 6 months…

  • Damn, just bought something 3 days ago and this would've been perfect for it. That was the only thing I've bought on ebay for like 5 years :/

  • disregard, dupe

  • Now showing as an ad in Facebook and a rep is helping people who say the code is not working for them. Maybe wirth a try.

    • Nope, no dice. Still targeted.

Messaged the rep and got this as a reply:

"Thanks for verifying your details. Do you have more than one eBay account? If so, have you checked those accounts? We have issued this $20 discount as a way to encourage eBay customers that haven't purchased in a while to visit us again. This offer is only available to the person who received it directly from eBay."

    • Gee they like making it seem like it is for everyone despite it being targetted

"The NEW20 isn't on your redacted account. Do you have other eBay accounts? We’d also like to ask for your Facebook account’s e-mail address.

Please note that the NEW20 promotion is targeting ‘inactive’ customers on Facebook with a $20 offer. The ‘inactive’ customers who received the $20 offer have not purchased in the last year and made their last purchase no more than two years.

      Thank you."

  • When this deal was first posted, made a second account. That account has since been sent a code for $20 off (min $30 spend). Expires 1st Sep. Looks like a unique code (13 random numbers).

    • Yeah they normally do this about 5-10 days after a new account has not made a purchase.
