EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 08G-P4-6286-KR AUD$929.19 Delivered @ NeweggAU

130

UPDATE: Out of stock again, the 1080 SC-ACX is still AUD$888.83 delivered.

This is a good option for those without a fee free card as NeweggAU convert at nearly the true XE rate, just make sure you change currency to AUD.

  • This was ~$906 delivered on Amazon last night. Out of stock now, but just saying.

    • Yeah you gotta be lightning quick with Amazon, NeweggAU only sell to us so it's in stock a lot longer.

And for those without a fee free card it will work out to be a similar price.

youre safe to get this card from overseas too because EVGA have one of the best customer service's ever

Disagree. Evga bury their head in the sand when there is a design fault. Speaking from personal experience

  • Just got my 1070 FTW on Monday and my god is it spectacular, Easy to overclock. The LED lights are bright and colourful so they can match any theme (mines blue because my cpu cooler has a blue led) and to top it off the thing is a beast easily getting 150 fps on no man's Sky (notoriously buggy on pc) on the highest settings my crappy Dell monitors can handle. (1680 x 1050) No complaints from me yet, mine manages to handle a 125mhz overclock.(silicon lottery)

  • Foreign transaction fee has nothing to do with the currency. You get charged if the merchant making the transaction is overseas.

So unless NeweggAU has a physical presence withing Australia at which they process your payments, you'll get the fee. Even if you pay in AUD.

    • That's if your card has an OS transaction fee. At least the XE rate is decent, being equivelant of the actual XE rate

      • You do realize that the OP posted this as a "deal" for people without fee free cards because he thinks they can avoid the fee by paying in AUD.

My point is that Newegg probably processes charges from the USA regardless of which currency the buyer selects. Hence the foreign transaction fee will apply.

        • Have you actually bought anything from NeweggAU?

I have (the 1080-SC last month) and was charged the exact AU$ amount quoted on the page in AU$, which happened to be almost exactly the same as if I had converted the US$ amount (if selected) at xe.com.

        • @CH:

          No I haven't, hence:

So unless NeweggAU has a physical presence withing Australia…

Newegg probably processes charges from the USA…

I stand corrected now that you have provided this information that wasn't in the OP.

  • OUT OF STOCK :(
