I think the 22" was a lot more a bargain. You would have to have a very very tight budget to not be able to spend an extra $30.

    • +2

yeah and you get full HD too.

    • Can you please provide a link to the 22" that is just $30 extra? I can just see the Dell ST2210 21.5-inch Full HD Monitor which is $199 with the $30 discount then $169 with the coupon.

      • there are at least two links in this thread…..one just about 6 posts under yours…..

        • Oops sorry, on a mobile and missed those, got them now, thanks.

  • Good deal nonetheless. What if you had a very small desk and couldn't fit a 22 inch?

    • +3

I think that would have to be a 0.001% probability for that to happen, what kind of desk would you have? 40cm wide?

      • I dont think width is the problem, because most keyboards are already that wide. Its the height, some desks have top shelf areas that make it hard for larger monitors to fit. If it were me though I'd rather mod the base and get the extra vertical pixels

        • +1

I'd remove the top shelf area or bring the monitor forward. The shelf cant be that short.

    thanks heaps.. theres also
    http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=au&cs=a…
    with code JJMPTZQ7PL?$SS

(I was only informed of the 22 after i'd ordered the 20 :(, good lan/spare though)

    • Can't you cancel before they ship it?

  • Its listed as a refurbished model…

Dell Outlet Home & Home Office › Refurbished Dell Monitors › Compare Dell Outlet 23"-20" Widescreen Flat Panels

    • the goto link mentions nothing about refurb

      • Wait.. what the hell, has the link been changed or something

could've sworn it had taken me to a page with that page directory.

might have been the wrong page i was looking at

    • Ignore my first comment… I probably went to the wrong page somehow.

try dividing both by 100! The maths is pretty easy.

      • +2

No wonder you have an Einstein avatar

    • +2

that depends on if the pixels are square.

  • Dell Outlet products can not be purchased online. It seems only phone order is accepted.

  • +1

    nah it's not refurb

it would be obvious because it's 3yr warranty which is their norm for LCDs

it even has vesa 100 for a proper arm

only downside is no HDMI which seems to be why Dell are blowing these out

  • the link is for dell usa. is it usd or aud?

    • the product info link is USA, the goto link is AU

  • Prolly should just get one of these instead of getting one used off ebay.. no car so I would need to get it shipped anyway.. hmm..

  • would either the 20" or 22" be good for watching tv on?

Thinking of buying a usb tv card and hooking it up through the laptop…

    • the bigger the better

      • only looking at a 22" at this stage… but is this monitor good for tv?

        • Well if you're using it on your workdesk, then yeah…. but if you're going to put it in your lounge room, then hell no.

    • You can either get a 32" TV for less than $500, get a 21.5" 1080p monitor with speakers for 150-200 or get a 24" 1080p with speakers for 210-300. It's really up to you, whether the monitor has speakers is probably the biggest concern.

  • Just to clarify with the 15% off it comes to $92 delivered to my door? EDIT: nm, got it 126-15%=108 :)

  • This model has a better LCD stand than the 22".

    • Better in which way?

      • it's smaller

        • Doesn't smaller mean poorer stability?

  • The code for the s2209w will not work for me, why not?

    • It works 4 me, exit the browser and click that link again from camelgrass. I just bought 1 for my son.
All up is $137.39, I reckon it's a good deal for full hd 22" monitor. Thanks OP and Camelgrass.

    • Didn't work for me either, because I thought the code ended at the "?"

It is the whole text JJMPTZQ7PL?$SS

      • +1

        there is 2 offers in this thread;

        20" = 4MZR3KTJJRT0VS
        22" = JJMPTZQ7PL?$SS

  • probably because the promo is over

  • Worked, thanks! ANd thanks to Camelgrass also.

  • i ordered one too, thanks!

  • ordered 3 of the 22 inch ones so far, 1 for dad and 2 for brother, can't argue with that price.

  • I just took the plunge and ordered a 22" one. Thanks for the heads up.

  • Ah I just bought a new Dell monitor yesterday. I need to start looking around for coupons before I buy pretty things :(
