That's the ugliest watch I've ever seen.

I agree - it's like a timeless and classic-look Casio watch had the runs and vomited and this is what resulted.

      • lol, I use to have one of these many moons ago when digital watches seemed pretty neat. Is there a one with a calculator? :)

    • I have no sense of style with watches, can you suggest/link one that you feel looks good?
17 y/o relative has a birthday coming up and here's me thinking this one looked pretty ok lol.
      (similar price range)

      Many thanks.

      • 17 y/o relative has a birthday coming up and here's me thinking this one looked pretty ok lol

        He'll hate you forever lol

It can be tricky buying a watch for someone else, particularly a 17 y/o I think. Very much a personal preference thing.

A G-Shock would be a reasonably safe bet, if you absolute had to buy someone a watch.

        • Thanks kindly, will have a look!

It's fake gold, it's camouflage, it's 20-ish years old face…who still want to own this?

    • I purchased one for my son from ebay, sadly its a fake as the gold is rubbing off, i dont think a genuine would do that

They are [the genuine] a excellent value and tough as nails watch, one of the best price/quality ratios

I am a big Casio watch fan…….just saying! [But no fan of G Shock]

      • usually the LCD characters (ie the font) are the easiest give-away of a fake watch

im a wristwatch fan. Im a casio fan. Im a fan of the classics. Im certainly not a fan of this.

I would neg this deal for making me throw up my lunch but it's not a valid reason.

  • Is it even possible to vomit a watch…I call photoshop!

Why are you talking like a wigga?

      • Motherf*cker you don't know me, but why are you talking like a depressed wannabe jock from the 90's?

        • That doesn't even make sense.

        • @joeflacco:
          I just got zika.

There are much nicer Casio's in this price range, I did a search at Skywatches
Or you can get the Casio MRW-200H range for under $30.00 on ebay

The Casio Tough Solar Illuminators are $43.32 delivered - $44.68- $44.68

Is there a special Ali G edition ?

    • +2

      This is it.

  • Does anyone know if Casio has models that doesn't use battery like Citizen's Eco Drive or Seiko's Solar? Thanks.

Never mind, they have solar powered watches. Something like this is actually not bad for the price?

    • If you want to be done with battery power, and a decent price, you need the Citizen owned QQ Solar [powered] series, they are around $35, screwed together in China with all Japanese made components

      • Yeah I know about QQ Solar but haven't found one that I really like.

        • They still use a battery, but it's rechargeable. See my comment above for Casio Tough Solar Illuminators.
There are also automatic watches that have no battery, they rely on movement to wind a spring but I don't think Casio have them.

  • timeless designs

So, no good for telling the time?

I still occasionally wear my Casio DBC-610 that I bought in the 80s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCbRdVahYYA
Its probably worth more now than when I bought it.

  • I have a gold-plate watch with sapphire face.
The face is like new, but the gold covered in scratches.
Whoever thought gold (solid or plate) was a sensible material for watches??
Steel, chrome-plate or titanium looks so much better.

Perfect gift for giving someone in the office that you don't like as a Kris Kringle.

The 1980's called….and they don't want this watch back!

  • Great retirement gift!
