  • Comes up as EUR 247,43?

    • Did you check out?

    • Tax is removed at checkout.

      • Ok thank you.

  • Thanks OP, ordered 3, hopefully ships.

    • +1

      Broden?

      • Nope, family and friends.

    • +1

If they do honour, I expect to see Gumtree to be flooded with 2TB SSDs.

      • -1

Hope to pick one up for $50 when they get flooded.

    • +2

      Bossden?

  • No way this gets honoured but had a go anyway. Thanks mate.

  • +8

There is more chance of me banging Selena Gomez than there is of this deal going through.

    • +5

actually this is the number one item on her Amazon Wishlist why don't you purchase for her

    • Wouldn't mind giving her a good bang.

  • Well im getting 923 euros for 4 and i want to pay it with commonwealth card, savings, should i pay in AU or EUR? Whats better? Thanks guys

    • +8

It doesn't matter. It will be refunded.

      • Ummm if it doesn't get refunded, asking, thanks guys:)

        • Why do you ask?

        • Your question has been answered about 5 posts above this one

AUD if you have a conversion free card like 28degrees

        • +4

Why buy like that? You'll get taxed

        • @valeo:

AUD if you have a conversion free card like 28degrees

If you go with AUD, Amazon will charge the conversion fee.

Your choices are USD and EUR anyway. At least those were the only choices I got.

    • +3

If you buy 4 you will have to pay GST when your goods are shipped to Australia correct?

      • Some people want to pay GST. let them be.

        • -3

Well how much can the gst be? Let say i sell the 4th and make ~$500 profit:)

        • +1

@drazenm: 10% is the Australia GST rate I think, last time I checked with Howard introduced it.

        • @drazenm: A lot more than the shipping if you split into two orders.

  • patiently waiting for the cancellation email :)

  • -1

Bought one, just remember to pay in AUD with an int fee free card like Citibank Plus. Otherwise you'll lose out on the currency conversion/international transaction fee if they cancel.

    • +1

Amazon doesn't charge you until it ships, so it won't make a difference.

    • They will cancel the order? amazon do not charge you on order.

  • Bought one .. Let c !

  • Purchased

  • +6

This deal is on literally every site on the planet and is #1 on Amazon.

    I appreciate everyone's optimism.

    • +5

heh, we've probably just doubled France's GDP for the year.

  • -8

Ordered 50 Cheers thx lol bye

  • Came to $337! Need it for my next pc build

  • bought one. let's hope they ship it

  • This shit is bananas / B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

  • buy it, Sell it on ebay for 800ish wait for the price to crash. Buy it again for 500 :) obviously they probably wont honor it :(

    • If price crashes, wouldnt it effect the prices of other stocks?

Whole SSD market crash or bubble?

  • +1

I'm so late I'm sure i'll get rejected, but ordered whatevs, building a new desktop now.

  • The amount of qty gone through this item there is no way they will honour it.

  • Récapitulatif de Commande
    Articles : EUR 205.983,81
    Livraison : EUR 691,72
    Acompte Frais d'Import EUR 20.667,55
    (Montant total : EUR 227.343,08)
Total du paiement : AUD 351,043.35

    Not bad.

    • Ur 1 short

  • Good luck guys. I expect to see lots of these on eBay Gumtree if honoured.

  • +2

This deal has gone public worldwide for nearly a day now. I doubt Samsung have made enough 2TB SSD drives, ever. Niche product with very low demand

    • +10

Well they better get cracking then. The French forgive, but never forget

    • Pretty sure enterprise/date centers have a great need for such drives.

      • -4

Samsung 850 Pro is more workstation grade, not Enterprise grade. It isn't really built for 24/7 constant heavy duty read/writes.

  • -2

Strongly dislike Samsung in general but this was too good to pass up. Hope they're feeling generous :)

  • Appears it has gone back up in price?

    • No change here, still seeing EUR 247,43 after refreshing browser.

    • You are seeing the one from "Premium High Tech" - EUR 958,50

  • Ordered two but fully expect to never see them.

  • +1

I have a feeling these 2TB drives will be having lots of 1/5 reviews soon.

  • +2

What are Amazon doing? surely they would have noticed an absurd amount of purchases for a product that isn't expected to sell at such a quantity?
France must have told the night shift to have the night off.

    • -2

They may also have a large amount of them that are planning to write off with the 4TB model now in the market? (or they may be in the know of some other products down the pipeline, who knows). It's more likely that it's pricing error, however.

      • +3

There's no way any company would be stupid enough to get rid of these for that much of a loss on purpose, even amazon.

Wasting your time ordering, it won't be going through at that price.

        • +4

Well, if the order goes through, we win.
If the order didn't go through and Amazon gave us a gift card, we still get a free gift card.
If the order didn't go through and Amazon just cancelled the order without any compensation, it's not like we are going to lose anything from it.

So, all in all, it's a gamble that I won't lose, so why not?

  • I wasn't planning to buy parts for my new build until December, but at this price…

  • +4

If everyone who has clicked this link bought one that's about a million dollars worth of SSDs.

  • -1

    Worth a try boys

    • this is on a few sites inc reddit(which was 13hrs ago).

there is no way they can honour this without making a loss.

      • Even as operating expenses surged 25 percent during the quarter, revenue was even stronger. Sales reached $29.1 billion, up 28 percent, while Amazon swung to a profit of $513 million, from a loss of $57 million the year earlier. To put that figure in perspective, Amazon posted a profit of $596 million for all of 2015.

        http://www.cnet.com/au/news/amazon-says-first-quarter-sales-…

But that's amazon.com not sure about .fr

      • There's an ozbargain equivalent on Reddit??

  • +1

Hope this goes through for everyone, wish I had the money/need to give it a shot.

    • +1

… And I just bought one anyway

  • 247EUR now, does it go up now?

    • +1

      Checkout will minus VAT

  • Totally don't need it but took a chance on one. If I get a letter in response, it will be in French though and I won't know what's going on. I hope someone here can translate.

I was planning on getting a 950 Pro M.2 for my next build since that is much faster, but who can argue with 2TB?

If it was discovered 15 hours ago like someone said, there's a chance they will honor this. They would have noticed it and corrected the pricing by now if it was a pricing error. But they are still letting you order it.

  • Ordered one, even if they're likely to refund and not honour.

  • Just ordered too, lets see…….

  • +2

Getting this message at checkou, seems they may have caught on.

We are sorry. Article Ssd 2to 850 Pro is no longer available from the vendor you select . To return to the product information page and see if it is available from another seller here

    • Also the price is now adjusted to over 900 euro.

  • +4

It's 10am now in Paris. Someone is going to be very busy regardless if they honour or not.

  • Ordered 48 that's my new server sorted

    • +7

      Yeah well I ordered 49.

  • +5

Price has be readjusted to EUR 958.50

    • That's not a price adjustment. That's a different seller. Amazon is OOS and not taking more orders. But that system is finicky and it could appear again then go away again then appear again. It's something Amazon can improve on.

  • Shattered I missed out. Great find

  • Think it's gone, don't see the cheap version offered under list of options.

    • +1

so it took less than 12 hours to get from amazon warehouse to VIC?

      • -2

Amazon France shipped them local AU stock apparently :S

      • +3

It was delivered by Petyr Baelish

  • +4

Get ready for the cancellation email. The order has disappeared from my Amazon account so it's only a matter of time

    • Same with me. The order has disappeared…

      • +1

It's still in my orders when I logon the french site, just not on US/Aussie site. Guess they are probably slowly working through the cancellations.

        Edit: Appearing as cancelled now.

  • +3

order was cancelled without voucher or even A email

  • +4

Cancellation email just came through now :(

  • Thanks OP. Have ordered one.
Will be happy if it gets delivered. But wont be too disappointed if the order is cancelled considering both 512GB and 2TB drive is built to handle 300 TBW. One would expect 2TB drives would have higher TBW than 512Gb drives

    • +1

There is no way it is getting delivered. People are already getting cancellation emails

      • Likely, but you never know your luck. Years ago a mate told me about a PS3 at fishpond that was about half price (pricing error). I ordered one a few minutes after he had placed an order for about 4 or 5 I think. Mine eventually got delivered but his order got cancelled.

Edit: But Im not lucky this time, order showing as cancelled in my french amazon now.
