Vietnam Air appears to have a sale for return flights to Moscow. Dates in October and perhaps November from what I can see.

Just a word of warning. The Sydney flight has a 20 hour connection and the Melbourne one has an 18 hour (both in Ho Chi Minh) so you'll have to get a hotel + a visa going over. On the way back, its a 10-12 hour stopover.

I can see a AUD$213 Super Deal fare on 12 Oct to get there but it will only accept a Super Deal fare for the return leg ("Super Deal" fares are not combinable with other fare types), but I can't find any! If I choose one way instead of return then the Super Deal fares disappear, so only valid apparently for return trips if you can find them for both directions. Anyone find the return (MOS-SYD) Super Deal fare?
Edit: aha found a stinger. I went for the $405 fares each way for 3 adults, 2 kids = 3,646.00 AUD + TAXES 1,998.70 AUD = Total: 5,644.70 AUD
