Celeron is not a deal for this price

It's not bad for a cheap Windows tablet. It's significantly more powerful than the Atom-based ones, and comes with a keyboard and LTE support. '+' from me.

Had it and it's not worth it. Very slow and the fan is very noisy.
The laptop. Was released 3 year ago . At this price it's too Over priced

    • What is your benchmark basis for slow?
What were you trying to achieve / run?

  • whats the cpu like? vs atom?

Only a single benchmark so take with a grain of salt but still marginally slower than the current gen atom.

    • A bit faster, but not superfast. This is not a performance device, but a keyboard, FHD (& HDMI), LTE and 4GB of RAM make it fairly functional. Compare this to the cheaper China tablets (without keyboard, LTE or proper warranty), and it's not bad value for money.

Edit: must have looked up the wrong benchmark just now.

      • actually if you look at it that way, which is probably the goal of this device anyway, it is actually quite good value, the price for china tablets INCLUDING keyboard dock will land somewhere very similar to this device. so yes it's good deal if performance isnt your sole agenda.

    • Atom is quad core and have higher clock speeds. Overall this Celeron (2 core/thread Haswell @ 1.1 Ghz) is a little bit faster in single thread but loses in overall compute. Plus the Celeron uses 3 times more power.

  • Cherry trail Z8500 is faster and uses less power, for those who are wondering.

The downside with Cherry Trail devices is that none of them have SATA ssd support (EMMC only) and are usually 4GB RAM, but no more.

There is a review on Notebookcheck, but beware the review unit is a much higher spec one with a ultra low voltage Core i5.

  • also the SSD in this will make it FEEL heaps more snappier than atoms even if the cpu isnt up there
