If you buy this make sure your car supports it.

    • What do you have to check for support?

      • There are rough general guides around - Unfortunately it doesn't work with my BA falcon even though the guidelines suggested it should.

    • +2

My holden doesn't support it, but with a bit of a aluminium foil you can easy make the contacts touch (Did it today).

Only issue its a bit inconvenient if you want to remove the Roidmi often, but I never will, so it works for me!

Hey TheChorizo, do you mind to show us how to wrap it? I just bought one from geekbuying for my holden and also having issue with the contact.

        • For those who are having problem with the contact, simply create a contact spot with aluminium foil at the bottom of the device. Working like charm.

        • As mrarronax said, just make a little ball out of foil and drop it into the centre of the port. After this my fit was a little loose, so I had just put a wrap of foil around the sides as well so it fit snug

If you would like a pic, just let me know

        • @TheChorizo: thanks for the pro tips! Got it working in the wife's Suzuki swift :) when you do make a ball do a decent size one, I pushed my adapter in and twisted it and its nice and snug!

@Gomo: try ur method now the cigarette lighter doesnt work

        • @delonnot:

If no devices work on the port it is likely a fuse has blown you'll need to check your Car manual and check it,

Possible that you created a short and resulted in that happening

        • @Gomo: already replace the fuse cigarette lighter is working again but would u mind showing how you get it working on ur car with the aluminium foil?

        • @delonnot:

It's a small ball of foil just down the port, then I just pushed the device in, it will start to flash, it does this flashing for a few seconds prior to booting up, once you see it doing this you'll be ready to connect to it via bluetooth, each car will be different this is in a 2007 suzuki swift,

Trial and error is what will get this working in your car, I just followed the advise of other members re: using foil to get it working

FYI the ball i made was roughly 1cm in size, not to big, because then it will cause a short you don't want that

Also regarding phone calls, I couldn't get any calls to route through the bluetooth.. not sure why not but it wouldn't.. could just be my phone unsure..

    Love the description:

you can fell more suprise continuously.

    I love felling surprises.

    […] battery monitor […]

….how…??? I'm trying to imagine how a bluetooth car audio device can be used as such, in such a manner that you are responsibly close enough to your actual child. Would you have to get a WiFi camera, broadcast over the internet, connect to it, stream audio through bluetooth, and then use FM broadcast to your car (?). It implies encouraging leaving your child home alone.

Listen to massive high-quality network audio […]

Uhm…. network? In a car? At best it would be P2P, right? And what is "massive"?

I do actually think it's a good product (though I wonder about the quality of the FM broadcast - I have never been lucky with that).

      […] battery monitor […]

I misread that one too. It's to monitor the car battery voltage I assume. Not baby monitor

    • +3

It says battery monitor… not Baby monitor….

      • Ah yes, silly me.

    • Network audio over BT actually makes sense to me.

    • +1

Typical Chinglish, but in their defence it does say 'battery monitor', not baby monitor.

N.B.: Does not work will all makes of cars. Check product description for details.

Hi, this is the first generation, not the Roidmi 2S

      • -3

Sorry can't seem to find any information on the difference. What's the difference?

        • +1

          Hi,

some big differences between these two generations:
          1. 2S has mic which can make Hand-Free call
          2. 2S supports Bluetooth4.2 and fast charging
          3. 2S supports background noise reduction

        • Upgrade version with microphone function, compatible with iOS and Android devices

  • +2

Do you stock an adaptor to make this compatible with other sockets.

Be careful with tinydeal the last two orders I did with them never even got shipped, very sneaky on there behalf one was the tronphy projector they advertised about a month ago on here, got email after email regarding the shipping date they just pushed the delivery date back every time in the end they told me they had no stock, they ignored my emails got on to paypal got refund. They quite often bait advertise buy from banggood a bit safer

    • And this is probably just one story, there are probably more out there….. I dont trust everbuying after ripping me off.

  • Which one is this.
    Chinese or international version

    • What's the difference can I ask?

      • Chinese version has everything in Chinese. Documents etc

  • These are great for music but the mic is pretty atrocious. If you're looking for a hands free solution for phone calls, this isn't it unfortunately…

  • I own one of these. I can say IMO it is the best FM Bluetooth transmitter on the market after trying a few cheap and expensive ones. The app works nicely to find a good frequency and the sound quality is also great. Highly recommended.

  • So with an IPhone are you locked to using just one frequency? I could have swore I read that somewhere for the iOS app?

  • Today i have received this unit. Plugged it in Mitsubishi Outlander and its working perfectly fine. Been looking for something like this for a long time. Great product. Loved it.

Easy to use and app is in English language but instruction manual in Chinese.
App can be downloaded directly from Playstore

  • I see a roidmi 2s and a roidmi on the internet. Are they the same? They look the same…

    • +2

some big differences between these two generations:
      1. 2S has microphone which can make Hand-Free call
      2. 2S supports Bluetooth4.2 and fast charging
      3. 2S supports background noise reduction

  • How on Earth do you plug this in? It looks nothing like a normal car charger.
