  • $200 is a deal killer. Voda and Optus offers 200 or more minutes

Depends if the country you call to is on Vodafone and optus's list for minutes.

Who is still using traditional telco international call nowadays? There are Skype, Facetime, Facebook Messenger and Google Duo for all your communication needs.

      • Me

      • its very convenient to have these in the mobile calls. Messenger, Duo, whatsapp calls etx have limitations on the quality of calls. Esp when you are travelling. I have unlimited calls to 10 countries other than Australia and 120 minutes to other 90+ countries. Most of the countries are there in the list for minutes. 120 minutes is equivalent to $300-$400 depends on the country you are calling.

I have 10 GB data, i pay $50 a month. This deal was posted earlier in OZB. my wife have share plan for $30 which she have an extra 1 GB. This means she is able to make unlimited calls to Australia and 10 countires plus she can share the 120 minutes and 11 GB for both us. works out to be $40 each.

        • Yep. My wife and I both have the $40 plan from earlier in the year with the $300 international call credits. I use it all the time to talk to family overseas. So much easier than using an app - other person doesn't need the app, or to be active in the app, can call landlines, can call hotels, car hire etc when arranging holidays. Big advantage for me. We were with Boost before - and could not make overseas call or send overseas texts - managed to work around without it - but this is SO much more convenient. It was a key attraction of the deal for me (that and the 10gb data).

      • Third world country on the list has crap internet

      • I do Fiji has poor 3g/4g reception and some places its non existent.

  • Just wondering compared to Amaysim 10GB Data pack for $99.90 annually, DO you guys reckon that is it worth it for someone who rarely make a phone call / message to buy this plan?

And how much is the lowest plan just to keep 10GB data pack? Is there any plan like Amaysim AS you Go 3 months expiry date after each credit refill?

    • following this for this too…

    • +1

This is 10GB monthly, for $40 a month.

So somewhat at the other end of the scale as Amaysim's 10GB for a year for $99

  • what are the included countries in the $200 int calls?
    or can we call anywhere

    • chatted to virgin they said yes

  • Thanks OP, I upgraded by $29 plan with 1.25Gb to this one. Much better value. Took about 3 minutes on the phone and it was done.

  • aww man they changed it. its now 7GB

    • i can still see it as 10GB. it ends tomorrow

      • Yep just ordered. Once i cleared my cache and history it returned back to normal.
