Just curious, I wonder what would happen if you noted down 5 UPCs from soup packs off the shelf and combined with any other Coles receipt, would they find out? lol!

Nah, I won't do it, too much hassle, and I don't buy soup packs normally anyway, but my brain is nefarious. ;)

      • That'd be a little slack

      • Actually I ended up getting the free soup (that's how I see it) anyway because I needed $6 to make up $30 to get a petrol discount docket. Be careful picking the soup boxes, look at the bottom for the unique code. I found that Italian Minestrone didn't have a unique code, but fortunately I had one other box to spare.

At the same time, the checkout wrongly charged me $5.95 for the $3 Perfection pizzas so I was able to claim a chargeback for wrong pricing and one free pizza for their error. I love it when computers make errors in my favour. :) This is Lane Cove Coles if you want to try your luck.

        • Computers have never made an error in history - humans using them have made plenty ;-)

          • @daydream: Well, that's what the store people told me, and of course humans are infallible. lol!

(I'm sure it's just a data entry error somewhere.)

  • I don't have the catalogue yet…can you post what it says on 'page 2 for details' in the catalogue? Thanks!

    • In 2 days or less it will be online. I'll try post the link if no one beats me to it…

that's a lot of MSG to get $5 of petrol…

  • Sorry, didn't refresh my page in time :p

  • Essentially this is a "free 5 pack of continental soups" offer, disguised in a free $5 fuel through web registration.

  • did everyone recieve their $5 card for that breakfast cereal offer last time - i didnt - scammed!

    • I did…but that's because I bought the cereals and registered them on the website on the first day that it was running. Possibly in the first half of the day too, so I made sure I wouldn't miss out.

      • i did too =- but not in the morning - on the first day in the afternoon :(

    • i did…i got 2:P

    • I did too, got $10.50 total for 2 claims

    • Lets hope they don't stuff up as they did with some of the cereal gift cards. Some folk (incl me) got cards that didn't work (stuff up in production) and it took a lot of effort (and correspondance with Coles customer service) to get them replaced…

  • can you really get two?

    • One from work address and one for home :)

  • I did this last year when they had this offer. Ended up with 2 X $5 fuel vouchers / or if you look at it the other way, 10 packs of pretty average soup :)

  • I took advantage of the Coles/Continental offer last year. About 6 weeks were required for the $5 card to arrive and I did need to slightly misspell my address to get the card (web site thought 2 for the household were already applied for).

    This is a good offer.

sounds like a lottttttttt of effing around for a five dollar card… who would even bother using that, really

I did. I buy fuel anyway, so I looked upon it like receiving 5 free packs of cup-a-soup noodles when I took up the offer last year. Yeah, it's a small amount of money, but bargains for me are a kind of sport. It's not the saving that counts, but how much I can squeeze out of the system :-)

I entered the breakfast deal and accidentally received a $100 gift card !! I was one happy camper !

    • Woah! that's pretty darn fantastic!

    • Did it work? They sent out lots of cards with $50 printed on them but they were all duds/invalidated.

  • received 2 $5 cards last time, just purchased 10 of these soups in the $1 sale last week, cant believe they have it again with coupons for fuel

Last time I got 3 coupons but please note there is a limit at Coles Express. You can only use combination of 3 payment method to pay, so if you fill up $15 then it's fine, you can use 3 gift card, but if you fill more than $15 then you can only use 2 since the remaining need to be paid by cash or EFTPOS only. That's annoying coz I want to use all my $5 fuel cards.

  • Hi,

Saw the promo on shelf @ Coles Grote St Adelaide today, 2/6/10.

You can enter (after purchases) online or via mail with the form available in store and receipt for 5 bought in one single transaction.

    Address will be:

    Continental Free Fuel
    PO Box 398
    Brookvale NSW 2100

  • Can anyone access the online redemption site? I can't seem to :-(

    • no its giving virtual listing denied (or something like that)

      • Great. At least I know it's not me. Thanks. Perhaps they'll fix it sometime during the day.

  • Damn! I bought 5. And one of them has no Unique Code!

    • i had one without a unique code….i just used another twice.

    • Yes, just use another one. Come to think of it, would that work? What's to stop someone buying one box and then using that code 5 times? They would have to correlate your claim against the data from the supermarket registers. Maybe they do. Hmmm…..

  • Claimed successfully, had a problem with the last code,
just replaced first 2 letters with the 2 at the top of the unique code & it worked

  • I had the similar issue - missing Unique code. I emailed them and they replied back asking my details yesterday. Got confirmation email for entry today morning.

  • I had the similar issue - missing 2 Unique codes . its frustrating it wouldnt submit online so i posted it.

    • Could someone provide you with the missing code from another box of the same flavour? It shouldn't jeopardise their entry since the code is per batch I assume (not sure). Or do all boxes of the same flavour have no code?

  • Do you have to mail the receipt and form over? Or could it be done via online redemption too? Because I submitted online already but I had the impression you have to mail the receipt to them to process.

    • Don't think so. I submitted online and got confirmation that they would send me my card in due course.

  • One of my boxes had a code that wouldn't be accepted. I entered it correctly :-( Had to send them an email to try and sort it out…
