AMF Bowling $3 Games in June - Weekdays before 6pm

820

I received an email from AMF with the voucher attached for $3 bowling games (incl. shoe hire) from Monday to Friday before 6pm for the month of June (June 1 to June 30).

The main terms and conditions are: maximum 3 games per person, 4 people per voucher, not to be used in the school holidays. You also need an AMF Roller Card but these are free and can be applied for at the AMF counters. Last time for the $5 bowling deal I was able to apply for the AMF Roller Card and use the voucher straight away, not sure if that has changed. The full terms and conditions are on the bottom of the voucher.

This is my first post - I hope I haven't left anything out!

    So annoyed!
My friends and I went bowling on Sunday (30th) to make sure we didn't miss out on the $5 deal! >.<
    haha.

    • oh damn u must feel so ripped off!
If u had a few friends with you, could have put the money u saved together and bought 1 schooner :(

  • Does anyone know what the defined period of "school holidays" is?

    • I checked 2 schools in QLD - 1 private and 1 public and their last day of school is Friday 25th of June (therefore 28th, 29th and 30th are school holidays). I'm not sure if this represents all schools in QLD and i'm not sure about other states

      • Thanks for finding that out for me :-)

  • monday to friday only….

  • Bargain !!

  • Queen's bday holiday (14th June) is a Monday - no idea if they're actually open though & haven't checked…

Same as what kewlaurel sed - official gov't term dates for VIC:

    • oh good point about the public holiday! i just checked a few of the QLD AMFs and they all say open 9am until late everyday excluding Christmas Day only.

    • Excludes school holidays.

Might that include public holidays, i.e. days that schools have off.

    cool!

  • I also went on Sat night with my kids, to take advantage of the $5 deal.
But, the $5 deal was also good for Sat/Sun, whereas this $3 deal is only Mon-Fri :-(

  • This is a great deal from AMF.

But, if you can't get to bowling before 6pm weekdays, OfferMe has 'Buy One Game Get One Free' and you can use it whenever you are available.

  • That's cheaper than league rates ($5.50 per game/$18 for 4), shame it's limited to 3 games only though.

  • Thats totally sweet. I can normally get $5 games at strike but this is like 90's pricing :D Thanks OP

How do you get $5 Strike games?

      • Sorry about late reply. Its at QV Melbourne and they have specials before 6 for student

  • Who wants to join me at Sylvania??

At these prices I don't mind bowling alone :p

  • What's with all the great bowling deals lately? They must be doing it tough.

It all seems like a marketing ploy.
      1. They get you to become a member.
      2. You feel satisfied with their service and will be willing to go back in the future (paying full price).
      3. Gets more people to like bowling. Those never exposed to the sport get a taste of it with these offers and end up wanting more (lol).
      4. They make money from complementary activities. You'll probably end up eating there and play a few rounds of arcade just for the fun of it. The one closest to me has laser tagging too (which I never knew about until I used my $5 coupon last month).

The list can go on and on. This is marketing on roids! Haha

However, that doesn't bother me. $3 bowling! w00t!

      • Marketing directors gotta make a living somehow!

True, however I'm not dissing the deal in any way! It's quite clever.

          • @slix_88: After two months of cheap bowling, trust me, I'll be pretty much over it.

  • Great deal!! Thanks for the post!!

  • I've just confirmed that … this offer is vaild for MON PUBLIC Holidays…. as we have one here in WA.. its the prrrefect time ..!

BE WARNED…if you dont have a card you may be rejected. Tried to go today and was told that I had to have a roller card. And I asked i f I could just apply for one there and then but the tighta$$ went on to say that then they'd have to process my registration and then I'd have to wait for the email and then print the voucher out. So I walked. Couldn't be bothered arguing.

I walked in (North Strathfield NSW) and asked for an application, the card was on the back of the application form so I had it straight away. I then said I had a voucher with it - no problems. 4 people x 2 games each for $24.

After reading this I felt fairly confident walking into North Strathfield to do the same thing… confidence fail! The lady was not too happy with what I was doing. Our conversation went something like this:

Her: "How did you get that voucher"
Me: "My friend gave it to me"
Her: "Well you're only supposed to get that voucher when you are already a member of Rollers, and I just saw you sign up now"
Me: "Well… I've driven half an hour to get here, so where does it say that on the terms and conditions?"
Lady scans the voucher with an angry look on her face
Her: "There, it says only valid with an active Rollers club card"
Me: "Well my card becomes active instantly, right?"
        Her: "Right.."
Me: "So then here's my voucher"

At which point she agreed to give me the games haha. She lightened up once I mentioned "See it from my point of view - there was absolutely no way for me to know I'm not meant to do this"

Anyway, I recommend if you have at least two people (and if you don't that means you've gone on your own, very lame) then one person walk in and sign up, walk out and give you the card, then you go inside and get the games - a lot less annoying!
