Though it is annoying, it's not like they raise their prices then they themselves give a discount. It's ebay giving the discount.

I remember seeing a comment from someone that worked at a participating retailer that the cost of the promotion was split half/half between the vendor and eBay.
Kogan got pinged by the ACCC for the exact same behaviour with eBay sales.

The history discount doesn't show up. I bought my camera for 1500$ and the price still shoes 2000$ in sony feed back history.. So.. Don't laugh too early, they might bought with cheaper price.

only difference I can tell from the x model is the default clock speed, which is simple to change.
More or less the same price as Amazon price now.
