  • Has it been cheaper before?

  • +3

We got our C3 in the last sale as well. Could not recommended this unit more highly. Best darn sucker we've ever owned!

    • +1

Got ours for around the same price last time around. Very powerful suction…. I feel bad having to set it to 50% power cause at 100% I can hardly push/pull it on the carpet.

      • Agreed, this thing is crazy.

        • Check your filters, it's about time to replace ours, it was getting into the red zone on the sticker.

Looks like the cheapest replacements are $29 at The Good Guys.

  • just brought a C2 for $299 with 1 extra dust bag pack(4pcs), not sure if made in German but it's nearly $150 different(include dust bags).

    • Thanks for the heads up. Good deal for those who don't have pet hair needs etc. Can you get this deal at say a stockist such as Harvey Norman or Good Guys for same price? And with bonus filter? Where/how did you get yours for that price with extra filters? Cheers

      • If you can wait for the next 20% deal, you can get a C3 allergy/allin1 for about the same price.

        Search for the previous post.

I bought it via the Mieleshop at the link provided (the original manufacturer). It arrived about 1 week time, Mel -> Syd when you add in cart it will said "Bonus dust bag" and I cant find anything cheaper at that time, they wont price match in HN or Bing Lee when I show them, cause the Yellow one is special one that's what they told me as well as they did mention different colors with different packs.

        • Great help. Thought so much, but good to clarify that. So how many bags does it come with? One included + 1 pack of 4 bonus = 5 altogether? Any idea of cost of bags? Cheers again.

        • @ozhunter68: Altogether 5 dust bags + 2 filters, which should last close to 1.5 years, that's what they claim to be, RRP $28.90 from their shop might be cheaper else where. http://www.mieleshop.com.au/gn-hyclean-3d-dustbags/p_9917730…

  • Will this help with the pesky neighbourhood pets Barking all night?

    • +1

Yep. Just position the hose near the window, turn it on Max and your problem will be gone. Just make sure your car isn't in the path of the hose as you'll probably such that up too.

  • Sweet, thanks op. Just bought one. Its the Mrs birthday coming up!

    • +1

      Lol your sweet.

Here you go hun, go clean the house up with this new vacuum. Happy birthday

  • I took the plunge and bought one. Thanks OP. My shitty, expensive electrolux has broken down for the third time in five years. Not happy at all. Not throwing any more money at that thing.
edit: does the miele run hot? my electrolux sure did!

  • How loud are these things?

    • +1

It has several power levels, one of them is "quiet" which is designed to not exceed the threshold for hearing damage if used long-term.

      • Thanks for that.

        Just about to purchase it!

I find the Dyson DC39 struggles.

The motor blew 2 weeks after warranty too. To be fair when we called Dyson they offered free postage and to have a look at it. We always maintained and cleaned the filter so when they seen it they repaired it for free as though it was under warranty.
It's been used almost every day for the last 4 years but annoys me when I need to go over the same piece a few times to have it picked up.

Thx to all responses you've again helped me empty my wallet on something that could most likely have waited another 12 months. To good a deal to give up though.

        Cheers

      • Does your Allteq vacuum head squeak when moving in a backwars direction?

Mine arrived during the week and on tiles it squeaks like crazy.

Gotta be a faulty head right?

        • Did you mean power head? I don't think you're meant to use it on tiles.

        • @Lukian: no the actual main head. Squeaks like all buggery moving backwatds and forwards.

Haven't used the big or small power heads yet. Assuming they are for the carpets and couches?

        • @BKZ: Big one yeah, the small one is really just for awkward spots or furniture.

The main head shouldn't squeak afaik. I've never heard ours do it. Perhaps it's your tile surface though?

        • @Lukian:
          Ok cheers.

Ive narrowed it down to the front red rubber strip on the bottom of the head.

          Appreciate your replies.

I'll try giving miele a call. Might be faulty.

  • Does anyone know if this comes with a bag?

    • +1

1 Bag is included. I collected mine today.

      • +1

What do think of it so far?

  • How often do you nee to replace the bags?

    • Depends on how much you use it - how many pets… how dirty your house is.

Whether or not your hairy etc….
