Totally hopeless watch. I took mine back after 3 hours, as they told me it had inductive charging and it diddnt.
You need to remove the watch from the band and place it in a charging case. It was a painful process to say the least. I ended up getting a Gear S2 Classic and have not regretted it for a second. Be warned, this watch has the features but is very annoying to use.

    • Is the only reason you took it back was because of the inductive charging not being there? Anything else that wasn't good?

      • It was more to do with having to remove the watch from the band and put it in a propitiatory case to charge it.

        • Ohh, so it is even more annoying then that. you have to take it out of the band as well..

I think Iw ill wait for the Pebble Time 2 (only a couple of months away now.

I'm not going to argue about the silly design. However, I charge my watch maybe once every 3 to 4 days. Removing it from the strap to charge isn't anything to stress over, but I do realise everyone is different.

I've had the zip, charge, charge hr and now the blaze.

    — Vibration is hopeless, charge HR was much stronger
    — some notifications appear more than once
    — menus are more convoluted

++ battery life is better than charge HR
    ++ screen is prettier
++ looks like a proper watch (I got an all black steel band and frame off amazon)
++ low battery indicator works better than charge HR

the charging was initially a deal breaker for me too until I learnt how to mod the charger bracket and mount it on a block so I could rest the watch on to charge, then I got the steel band and how I just pop it in and out of the frame to charge. No, it's not that bad and I wouldn't let the charging put you off buying one. The up side of the pop out unit is being able to get frames and bands that you like.

    • also, I've left the brightness on the lowest setting to conserve batt and have not had problems view the display while outdoors. The multiple notifications are mainly calender ones for me, so I've just turned them off and left the other notifications on. There is discussion on the fitbit forums about this but not sure if there is a patch yet.

      • Nice review . I have Charge HR for more than 1 year and want to upgrade to Blaze or Charge 2.

I rely its vibrate feature a lot for silent alarm and phone calls, now worry Blaze's vibration. Perhaps I should get Charge2 and it is cheaper?

  • For this eBay seller, I want to say, very bad experience.
Firstly, I bought a hard drive, sent email to ask for warranty, never reply.
Secondly, I ordered a pc case, wait for 3 weeks, did not be posted, sent eBay message, never reply. On their feedback page, most of negative feedback regarding to non delivery. so many buyers didn't get their items after paid.
This seller has several names, pc.byte pc.byte.system pc.byte.storage

  • I managed to get Officeworks to Price match +5% a few weeks ago when this store had a 20% off code.

  • Great fitness watch if that is what you are after. Really good if you are someone who loves stats and constantly wants to push themselves and is motivated by goals and stuff like that. I don't regret paying $298 from HN when I bought it several months ago.
