  • Monthly subscription if you want to do high res scans according to some users on Google Play. If true that's an awesome way to wreck a product.

    • There is two paid versions camscanner plus and camscanner Pro. The feature sets are note identical - they weren't briefly. At this sale price, you'd be silly to go with the subscription when you can get the ongoing licence so cheap. That said, I haven't tried the alternatives listed in the comments below, so don't know if they might be even better value.

  • 10 cents cheaper than last time!

  • If you use OneNote as your primary note-taking app, or have MS Office 365, you should use MS Office Lens.

    • Lens is good but I don't think it can create multiple scans as one file. This one does.

    • I've used both (and a bunch of others) and find that CamScanner offered better tweaking of the captured area. This was about 12 months ago though.

This may not suit high volume or advanced scanning, but I've found Google Drive pretty useful for scanning documents into PDF:

I use this too, especially with the Scan to Google Drive widget. Very handy!

    • Thanks for the tip

    • I found having google drive app running is a luxury as it eats up battery.

I am very pleased with CamScanner. Create and signing into your account and your docs are on the cloud too.

I use Genius Scan, had it for years and never fails me. Use it especially at work to take photos of whiteboard content and convert it into a high res PDF files. Also scan documents and send it to my Evernote account. Very easy to use and great quality.
