Intel Core i7 6700K Processor 8MB Cache 4.0GHz LGA1151 Quad Core $436 Shipped @ Futu Online eBay

150
CSUN20

Original 20% off Selected Stores on eBay deal

Following on from hamza23's Futu deals, I noticed they have the i7 6700K for cheaper than MSY's $469.

Not as good as this older expired kogan deal for $415.77pp but brings it pretty close.

Could be $429.19 too after 1.25% cashback rewards (I successfully got my 1.25% from cashback for my gigabyte 1060 deal on Futu's eBay). Hopefully picking it up soon, maybe I'll pull the trigger on this too to get this new PC build underway.

Oddly enough they have the it way cheaper ($472.50) on their web page: http://www.ksonline.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_detai…

Same for the 6600 and 6600k which are almost the same as the "discounted" ebay bargain…

of course… it is pretty rare that a seller would sell for the same price on ebay as their online store due to fees

the prices will likely lower on ebay after the sale but it is still the best deal around at the moment… not sure how things work on the backend for the sellers but i assume they wind up with about the same amount of money that they'd expect selling these products as these discounts are offered by ebay/paypal from memory

anyways, picked up a 6700k myself last week and it shipped today :) can't wait!

      • Cool, I just realised there is a similar benefit over MSY with the i5 and i7 non-K versions too.

Originally I thought, sweet, justification to splurge for the 6700K as the price gap was shrunken, but now the 6600 and 6700 are also cheaper… hmmm

I have till Sunday to decide…

  • Getting rid of stock for the impending Intel Kaby-lake 7700 series??
    rumoured release date "soon":
    http://www.techradar.com/news/computing-components/processor…

but you'll need a 200-series motherboard for this:

Desktop is expected to be Q1 2017. So not that soon. Mobile chips will come first.

kaby cpu's are apparently meant to work in z170 boards (with a firmware update)… also there isn't really any major improvements expected performance wise as it is more of a revision/integration of features

i was debating what to do myself, but decided to jump on skylake

      • Good one…am in the same position…debating the whole thing…but think I won't be waiting…

Off topic, but which mother board did you go with? Am looking at something like this..
        http://www.centrecom.com.au/gigabyte-z170x-gaming-7-socket-l…

        • I've gone for the ASUS Maximus VIII Gene… cause I'm stupid like that… my second choice was going to be the Gigabyte mATX option… so like that one you said… but smaller

  • Rather pay the extra @ Msy.

    • you'd rather pay extra for longer lines and crap service? ok then…

    Bought it :)

    Yay!

    • Me too. First time from Futu, I hope it won't come back to bite me…

      • Well so far so good for me.

I already bought, and collected this at Woolies.

Was a seamless process. From memory 2 days to ship and 1 day more to be at Woolies.

In fact this CPU and RAM has already arrived at Woolies this morning. Will go grab it after work tonight. Yay!

        • RAM is one thing I didn't buy. I did however buy a new mobo. I bought all the rest from Amazon.

        • Sorry wrong link above.

          I meant I bought this

Already installed and works a treat

          MWOAR FRAMES!

          :)

          @lozza6:
Oh wow, I'm not a gamer so I didn't buy any GPU. I just need the power as I run many virtual machines at once for analysis purposes.
