[< $1000] After a 15" Laptop - Dedicated Graphics Card - Preferably with SSD

Graphics card doesn't have to be anything too fancy. would ideally love to spend $800 - $900 but may stretch to $1K

Spewing that I missed the Lenovo IdeaPad the other day…

  • Dedicated Graphics Card

What kind of dedicated graphics card are you targeting? A lot of lower end GPU's (e.g R5 M330) are actually pretty pointless and are not that much faster than integrated iGPU's

    Preferably with SSD

with preinstalled SSD, you get charged arm and a leg for it. Just upgrade it yourself.

    • Probably GTX 765 ish or better

I'm happy to wait for one with pre-installed SSD to pop up at some stage, but if there is a real bargain without then I would possibly consider it.

  • Dell Outlet…

    http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/product…

    An AS NEW Inspiron 15 5000 with 6th gen i7, 8 Gb Ram and AMD Radeon(TM) R5 M335 2GB DDR3

(but crappy screen, sluggish hard drive and optical drive adding useless weight)

    $959

    • I'm actually hoping to get rid of the dell laptop I bought from the outlet, has a crappy screen… sluggish hard drive…

      • my Dell is fine. good FHD screen, harddrive is a SSHD (part SSD part Disk) and prett good speed wise, start is super fast.
was $695 a year or so ago. They dont seem to have , especially screen.s good specs anymore.

  • Have a look at the Acer Aspire E15…. It's quite popular as a great laptop which is rather cheap.

That is a review on youtube. If you think it's good for you, then there are links in the description to buy that laptop.

    Good Luck!

    • Thanks mate, probably a bit too basic for me though.

    • the link is for Amazon and is only a refurbished model and is not available to post international.
