  • I have 3 doors. Does this unit have 3 separate channels (one for each door) or do I have to buy 3 of these units?

And does this unit support operation from mobile phone app like some of the newer receivers?

    • Thanks so much for your query. You will need to purchase a frequency reciever for each garage door motor but our handheld remotes have 4 channels so you can operate 3 doors with one remote. We also provide additional accessories such as our bluetooth reciever which simply works as a normal frequency reciever but the door can be opened by an app on your iphone/ andriod. Please feel free to view all other accessories here -> http://www.araccess.com.au/product/accessories/

  • What rolling key is used? PTX4, PTX5, etc.

    • The remotes you are referring to are an ATA brand. We manufacturer genuine ARA transmitters which have a 1.2 billion rolling code system. ARA use a unique frequency of 433.22 Mhz which is one of the most secure technologies in the market. Generally it generates a unique code every time the button is pressed which will be used the next time that you open the door with the remote.

  • I'm unclear as to how this product is useful? My replacement remotes are <$30 from Bunnings, or a two pack I got last time for $50. And I didn't need to then wire in an extra frequency module?

    So confused.

    • We do not supply external brand remotes. The frequency reciever is used so that the existing motor is able to read our frequency level so that the remotes we supply can operate your garage door motor. This is the standard across all garage door companies and any other industry. We hope that this has given you some clarification.

      • No, not really. My point was, what advantage is there for me to buy your product @ $105.60 versus just buying a new remote for my system (for $50 for 2)?

You've mentioned that I can not use them for multiple doors without ANOTHER frequency receiver, so then that is additional cost. It just seems I am missing something.

  • +1

I've always bought mine from ebay for like $15 for 2 including delivery and they've always worked perfectly.
