Was just browsing online for some deals to India this during the November-December 2016 and found this cracking airfare to New Delhi ex Melbourne.
It will not last long.

Checked some dates for Melbourne as well:

Fly in November on:

18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 28th

Come back in December on:

18th, 19th, 21st, 23nd, 25th, 26th and 28th

      $786 during the feb on Thai Airways seems good but not as good as this deal though.

    Malaysian Airlines is ~$960 Perth to Delhi
    Thai Airways is ~$890 Perth to Delhi

    (If you want "Full" service and baggage + food etc).

    Please check layover time. It is mostly 16 hrs or 1+ day for most of the flights.

      I do understand the layover time is long but its so hard to find this kind of fare in nov-dec let alone rest of the year. Been traveling every year at this time but the cheapest usually is around 1000$
