  • So bloody frustrating when I paid $450 last week and still haven't received it yet. Great deal!

    • I paid ~$492 about a month ago from QD. I wish I paid $450 ;)

      Awesome phone, no mistakes :)

    • Same here, I requested to cancel my order and re-ordered again :)

      • Did they let you???

        • yes, as the item (which ordered on Saturday) was not delivered yet

        • @windbox: I just sent them a message but got a generic "we're on holiday" response. Did they actually respond to you or did you just cancel your order through the ordinary eBay process? Interested to do this (it will kill me not to have saved an extra $20) but don't want to miss out on the phone altogether by not having the order cancelled in time to re-order before the 15% coupon expires at the end of tomorrow!

        • @xyron:
They confirmed yesterday my order was cancelled then went on holiday till tomorrow. And I re-ordered again and found the previous order was cancelled successfully with refund.

Will this phone have the boot load issues?

  • +6

Had so many issues with both LG and this seller. It's just not worth the saving and not having a phone for 2months due to the bootloop issue

& currently if you are waiting on your phone or a reply

Our office/warehouse will be close between 15th - 18th Sept due to Chinese Moon Festival. We will NOT be able to read or reply your message. Please kindly bear with us and we will do our best to assist you since 19th Sept.

was your issue with the G4?

anyone had problems with their G5

      • +1

Some people have reported bootloop issue with their LG G5 phones.
I know my LG G4 will bootloop sooner or later (most likely one day or maybe one second right after the warranty expires or one second before - which mean I won't have enough time to report it for warranty).

It started with G3, and G4 suffered the biggest issue. It doesn't appear LG fixed the issue in G5 (because honestly, even LG G4 manufactured in 2016 have suffered from the bootloop issue, so clearly LG doesn't know how to fix it (or it is a motherboard design issue which LG G5 still suffers).

      • my g3 bootlooped, my g4 arrived with a dead touch screen, replacement one died with bootloop, my now 3rd has phantom touches on the screen but can't be bothered sending it back again. I'm done with Lg.

      • +1

3months with G5 no issue at all so far.

  • +2

Damn you LG. I'd be all over the V10 right now if it weren't for their inability to make reliable hardware.

    • Im waiting for V20

      • As awsome as it looks, I just can't bring myself to drop $800 - $900 on an LG phone.

        • Yes hope it drops as quick as the others.

  • If you prefer the grey body its $442.17 after the 15% off

Probably one of the cheapest SD 820 phones on the market and with a good camera

    • With B28(700).

  • +1

This works out a bit over $500 with the dac add on. Not bad if you want a phone with good audio. Apparently this phone hasn't had the bootloop issues to the same extent as the G4, still something concerning. At this price and for the specs it seems great value if you like the gamble. My G4 is still going fine around 12 months later, so not everyone experience the bootloop.

    • -1

Every single G4 will have bootloop issue. I was like you. Wait for a few more months bootloop will haunt you

      • bought 2, about 2 months back. no issues

        • Same

bought 1, about 2 months back. no issues

        • Just wait it will bootloop one day and you will regret on G4

        • @neonlight:

          Sorry, I meant I bought 2x G5s

    BOOTLOOP

    • -1

Neg votes doesn't fix the bootloops 😂

  • +2

At this price do I really need root……..

  • +3

Very Skeptical to buy another LG, my G4 still with this seller for repair 5 weeks and counting!

    • -4

Mine took 6 weeks door to door. You do realise that they are sending the phones back to Taiwan for repair? on your behalf? Because YOU bought a grey import?

      • You sound very angry there and you ALSO bought a grey import seeing it took 6 weeks for you? So what's the big deal? You are implying you will buy local stock which is at ripoff prices?

        • -1

No. Quite the contrary. I'm more than happy with my G4 grey import and it's price. I had the dead Wifi/Bluetooth issue and sent the phone back to QD-au who sent it to LG Taiwan for repairs and it and it took 6 weeks. You are complaining that it's taking a long time to fix a grey import phone that is being sent to another country to be repaired. You KNEW this would be the case with the warranty when you bought it (as did I).

  • prob better of getting the v20 ?

this phone was a bit of a waste, great you can chnage the components, but now one will ever do that! can i put 6gb ram in it? can i put the new 830snap dragon? can i put 128gb ram in it?

    noooooooooo so whats the point!?

    • +4

Yeah, just get the V20, it'll only be an extra $500.

    • The V20 is over double this price? So I doubt too many people looking at ~$500 to spend on a phone will see the V20 as their better option. Yeah in general paying way more gets you something better, you could spend 3 times this and get the new iPhone 7 plus. You can get the dac add on, which is better than the inbuilt one even on the new V20 or V10. So it has that for the very few that probably care about it. However for the few that do care, this is probably their best option currently for Audio in a smartphone. Especially when considering the price.

Having just been burnt by G4 bootloop and the Ghost Touch issues of the G2, my time with LG has ended.

  • I wonder if they will accept the G4 that I bought from them 12 months ago as a tradein..

    • LOL, why don't you ask them and find out? Pretty sure they'll tell you to bugger off!!

  • thanks,

  • -5

Lg phones have nothing on Samsung phones:
    - not water resistant
    - smaller battery capacity
    - can't be used as a grenade
    - boot loop issues

    • +9

      LG has

      -Dual Sim
      -Dual Camera
-ability to change battery with a battery Kit
-Cheaper than Sammy by 30% to S7
      -USB Type-C
      -Does not Blow up

  • +2

G4 from QD 12 months on, no issues whatsoever…
    Just sayin…

    • I thought I would say like you but mine just go bootloop last Friday, contacted them but no reply yet. 27/9 will mark my one year warranty. Let's see how they gonna deal with it considering the warranty date is coming. Really want to get this G5 but the bootloop issue just holds me off too bad …

      • Guess it is time to upgrade to G5.

        ^_^

  • It amazes me the number of G4 that bootloop, while the similar design and made by LG nexue 5x hardly ever gets mentioned for bootloop. Every 5x deal most people are praising the phone and how excellent the phone is.

    • camera is bad
