I don't think they sell gift cards online. The gift cards page only tells you to call or go to store to buy gift cards.
They sell via phone - takes a while to find the right salesperson, because most aren't familiar with it.

I didn't end up trying it. I don't see why it wouldn't work - all other amex deals end up working with gift cards, even though the T&Cs don't allow it.
With the $50 denomination restriction on gift cards, the last promotion ended up being $50 off $150 or $50 off $100 + $20 filler (they don't sell single bottles). I ended up buying wine and stacking with another coupon.
