Xiaomi Power Bank 5000mAh $9.95 + $6.95 Postage @ ShoppingSquare

510

I can see that a similar deal was posted last month. Got an email today which indicates these might be back in stock at the same pretty good price. High chance that they are genuine from a local supplier and delivery within a few days (instead of waiting 3, 4, 6 weeks from China or HK)

I've made tens of orders on Aliexpress and got every single one delivered. Hope this comment doesn't jinx my luck moving forward :)

how long did it take you to get your order?

what sort of shipping did you select?

        • @Spackbace: i ordered compression gear (not batteries) via aliexpress, delivered in 2 weeks. standard free shipping

        • @justin_tsoi:

Yeah but that's not my point, my point is couriers not wanting to transport power banks

        • @Spackbace: oh, i see your point!

    • Would you provide a link please? Good option…

  • This is much better power bank than the Xiaomi ZMI QC2.0 5000mAh.

    http://m.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_420706_Xiaomi_ZMI_5000mAh_Q…

The Xiaomi ZMI one only outputs a max of 12W…

    • $34.95 vs $9.95 isnt really a comparison now is it…

      • I think he is saying the cheaper one is better.

        • oh, you would be right. but still different target market for the two.

  • Thanks denuto. Just ordered one, redeeming about 3000 points in the process (knocked $3 off) :)

  • what is the real capacity for thise kinda of power bank?

i have the USB-doctor thing, did test on my 16000mha power bank in reality its like 10300ish.
i wounder if i can just get one full charge out of this thing…

    • Most small powerbanks use a boost converter which are around 80% efficient.

      3.7V * 16Ah = 59.2Wh
      5V * 10.3Ah = 51.5Wh

      51.5Wh / 59.2 Wh = 87% efficient boost up

Add in the charging conversion to charge the lithium ion, and it will probably be around 80% total efficiency.

You should be able charge a 4000mAh lithium poly battery once easily off one of these.

      • thanks so much for the information !! learned!

    • what is the real capacity for thise kinda of power bank?

I posted a test I did a while back on the Xiaomi 10400mAh power banks. Efficiency depends on the discharge current. It ranged from 83% to 91%. I wouldn't expect the figures to be too different now. I can get the link if you're interested.

      • thanks so much for the reply, and appreciate the effort of your testing. no need to read your test tho. :)

  • I tried to buy two, but you can only buy one per order :(.

  • comments from the previous offer thread, question whether the deliveries are really dispatched from an Australian warehouse.

Website says - Estimated Handling Time: 3 - 8 Working Days, + delivery time

    • I ordered one yday and got 'dispatched' email today. If that helps.

    • Mine was delivered on 23/9 and ordered late on 20/9. Definitely from au.

  • I've been waiting weeks for GearDo to get this back in stock after their Father's Day sale. Then I preordered with them for an indefinite delivery date to lock in the $19 price, but one day later (yesterday) this in-stock Shopping Square deal started!
Ordered this too, I'll end up with two

  • Can I use this to recharge LG G5? With USB-C cable.

  • Purchased on Wednesday, still no confirmation of being dispatched.

  • I think this offer has expired. Price is now $27

Arrived yesterday, purchased on the 21st.

However, the unit that arrived was the 10,000mah version with USB C cable adapter thingo. Maybe they made a mistake or maybe they sold out of the 5,000mah version and this is the replacement. Verified authentic btw.

    Either way, I'm happy. :)

  • Ordered on the 21st, finally got a dispatch email on the 30th…
