I've got the 9kg model, its a good washing machine but isn't quiet

  • careful this washer likes to go "walking around the laundry"

I'm pretty sure, that it wasn't setup correctly, just need to adjust it to be on the level with floor finish…

    • by the sound of it, the person posting this review was a complete idiot who didn't read the instruction properly. Front load washer is normally equiped with 3 screws holding the drum in place during transport and these screws must be removed before use, otherwise the prescribed symptoms is guaranteed.

      • might be more than one idiot cos the same issue is repeated

i have an electrolux washer - the top of the line (from 2010). washes well but collects mold very easy in the rubber if you dont use a rag to remove the excess water. i think design flaw which electrolux knows about it. not sure if they changed it.

AFAIK most of them have the same issue. I have had Samsung and Simpson front loaders that had the same issue. I just remove the excess water once the washing finishes and leave the door slightly open always.

Cool a place for the little kids to hide…

  • I have a similar model (older) of the Electrolux washer. It was all very good until it broken down completely only few months after the warranty… So…

feel sorry for you, but, unfortunately, it can happen with any product :(

  • I am looking for a stainless steel microwave. It seems a good price for $210. Can anyone recommend or advise against this deal?

  • You'll be disappointed with the Panasonic Microwave. Tinny as hell. And the inverter does this 30sec cool down every time you use it…so you keep thinking its on. Annoyed me to the point I had to return it. That and the bulb blew and they are a pain to change on the panasonics. Pity as I really wanted an inverter. The old inverter models which are much better quality don't need to do a cool down after each use. Ended up going standard samsung microwave which has been really good.

Ended up spending close to $4000 on white goods lol. Had to split to 2 $2000 transacations with 2 different paypal accounts. But same ebay account. So saved an extra $600 :) Good guys in store wouldnt match ebay pricing. Harvey Norman wouldnt even match Good Guys store pricing!!!

  • Not strictly related but I tried to add a dryer from GG to my ebay cart and apply the coupon, but I got a message that it was ineligible. I'd already claimed the code once on another purchase, but couldn't see anything in the T&C that dryers were excluded or that the code was one use only?

    • only one use per account with the code…

      • Oh. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that I had the dryer in my cart with the other stuff, and had to remove it to make the code work. Anyway, never mind. I'll try the wife's account.

Got the same machine, and has been fine over the past 6 months.

Not sure about the mold issue, but we normally leave the door open. and no, we don't have young kids.

  • I've got an Electeolux EWF1083, it's always vibrated badly & walked all over the place and yes I've set it up properly. It broke the internal water recirculation hose just outside warranty and leaked everywhere, on investigating I found that the hose had been installed and routed incorrectly from the factory so that it had been rubbing on the concrete balance weight until it rubbed through. I complained that it was a defect and they eventually paid for the part but not the labour to replace it. Thanks Electrolux, next time I'm buying a Bosch (not a Thailand model) or an LG because they appear to be better, according to Choice.
