Got an email from Kathmandu… ultraCORE thermals are now $24 each for 3 days only.
According to email, regular price is $69.98 and sale price is 2 for $80.

If there are no stores near you, Kathmandu offers free shipping on orders over $100 otherwise its $10 flat rate.
I recommend trying them in store before buying, the sizing seems to run small (at least for me).

  • Great price, got a couple when they had the 2 for $50 deal, has coming in handy for running on those cold winter mornings. May be tempted to get another one as a spare…and I agree with OP, do make an effort to try it on first, I found the arms to be very tight for my usual size of S or M, had to buy the L size in the end..

  • I've got the Thermaplus, ultracore and the merino ones. Ultracore at $24 is a good price! Merino are the best. I wouldn't get the basic one though (forgot what it's called)

    • PolyPro is the cheap one, usually $10 on special.

    • Haven't seen the merino ones on special too often

    • Great price on the ultra core. Quality far exceeds the thermal plus. I have gone through a 4-5 sets of the thermal plus and after a year the elasticity is non existence. During this time I had 1 pair of ultra cores and they're still good even after a couple years. I picked up two for $80 less cash back a couple weeks ago. I'm no expert on the materials used, or the correct washing methods however just love my thermals during winter! Don't waste your money on the thermal plus/ and polypros.

  • Nice post mate

      Thanks mate :)

  • I have a pair of these, but they just make me colder. Why do people wear these?

    • they shouldn't, they normally wick moisture away from body and retain heat

  • Anyone compared to the Uniqlo Heattech, standard and extra warm ones?
