  • paid $260 2 years ago. connected to the TV in games room. great speakers.

  • Good deal, buy it if you need one now , or wait.

i checked the best price from bring lee is 79.20

    • Gee you're going back a bit far, hasn't been that low since June 2015

Can't recommend these enough - especially when they're this cheap. If you are able to tweak EQ, this makes them even better:

+1 best speakers i've had for the price

    • I've had these speakers for 4 years, two pairs in fact.

Your EQ settings are bloody horrid. How do you listen to that?

      http://i61.tinypic.com/2rfd741.jpg

My simple EQ is above. 125KHz and 250KHz need to be turned down 20% and that's it. Much clearer, less distorted speakers.

        125 & 250 kHz? Are you a bat?

      • Yep, this is correct. No idea why the guy above you needed to boost the low-mid range, these speakers exaggerate those bands. I have a scooped EQ for mine, 125Hz to about 4K there's a gradual valley. http://imgur.com/ITDZ2jN

        • Can never get the treble right when testing them. Got the soundsticks instead.

  • Assuming the price doesn't include the shipping?

    • Seems to be in store collection only, really should be stated in OP.

      • Postage: AU $9.00 Standard Postage

    • Nope you are lucky you can even get shipping from Bing lee ebay

  • Had these speakers for three years, great value for money.

  • My z2300 still kicking nicely

Wish they never got rid of the dedicated volume control for the z623.

    • +1

My Z623 has dedicated volume control. Are you saying that these doesn't have that ?

      • I think he's talking about the lil volume, bass control pod separate from the speakers.

  • great set of speakers. onto my second set, my first ones lasted about 4 years before they got a bit flaky

  • Cheers OP :).

  • I once had the z-5500 and loved them, apart from being 2.1, how do these compare?

    • -1

These are THX approved. Google THX and you will find out

    • +1

      Nothing beats The z5500

    • A Toyota vs lexus

  • Thanks mate. Ordered one

Listening to these now - excellent for a moderate size space. Sometimes I crank them to 75% volume when I've got a gathering outside the back. Definitely has volume without losing quality.

  • +10 for these incredible speakers at this price - nothing comes close for sub $100

  • I have a Bose Sounddock II connected to my PC and also my iPod. Apart from the channel separation, is this worthwhile getting. Looks a bit more bulky also.

  • Looks like they are only pick-up only now.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one.

  • Out of stock :(

    • Looks like they've restocked, was able to order one this morning :)

  • All these endorsements make me want to buy a pair just for the sake of it..

Excellent speaker! Very powerful sound. The only problem is that the cable is too short.

    • Uses a standard VGA cable. you should be able to just plug in a VGA cable extension

      • Will try. Thanks.

  • The item you've selected wasn't added to your cart.

  • Thanks. Picking one up this week.

  • +1

Thanks. Ordered one in the morning and picked it up in store a couple hours later - Have it installed, sounds great! The subwoofer and speakers are massive compared to my old ones.

  • I have z-500 for 7 years go and they are running fine. I only use them in stereo. Do you think upgrading to these will give me better sound?

  • Anyone get hissing from these speakers when there's nothing playing?

    • No, both my sets no hissing and dead silent.

      • I get it when it's not even plugged into the computer and it becomes louder when I increase the volume. Looking at google there are others with this issue as well.

        • Id take it back if it's that annoying and get a new one

        • @TRENT86:

Yep, took it back. Waiting for new stock now. The display model also had the same issue… so the issue might be more prominent than I thought.

    • Yep I've just received and plugged mine in, same issue.

      • The new one i have is better than the previous one. I believe the cable from the sub to computer is a bit dodgy and might not be well insulated.

  • Just bought one so not out of stock yet. Thanks OP. Code is actually CBING20
