Yeah about $100 originally. Look at the original price stickers on these in the photo that the OP supplied. Was originally marked at $98 at HN.

hmm that $3 could have bought 6 soft serves at mcdonalds, or a small cheese burger meal (selected stores), a 500ml can of heineken with sept 2015 best buy date at Dan Murphy's …. pass it off as current fluctuations which you had no control over 2 weeks ago …. always makes me feel better about stuff I could have bought when the AU $ was 1:1 with the US $.

Can't vouch for the quality of the headphones but I saw they were $100 at officeworks and basically everywhere else.
