Capalaba, QLD. They are competing with Cineplex which is around the same pricing.

        • thats freakin awesome.. I can watch a movie daily at that price.. well maybe not.. still awesome!!

        • Fridays after 5pm, Weekend tickets and public holidays are $9.50 ($10.70 with this offer for two) so are a bit dearer ha ha.

        • Completely unrelated, but are there any good beaches around your area? Last time I went, I couldn't find a single one so we just went to the Gold Coast.

@niner: Wellington Point is beautiful. At low tide you can walk out to king island.
Not really a swimming beach but great for the kids to play around.

Do you mean $8.70 for one adult.?

      • nope. Usually $7.50 for one adult. Becomes $8.70 for two with this deal.

    • Wow… Cheap dates!

  • Event Cinema up the road from me is about $8.50 for Adult

For those of us that don't have MasterPass, Telstra and Optus offer 1x adult ticks for around $10 each + booking fee so it works out to be about the same.

    • Telstra tickets these days is $12.50 - not sure about Optus Perks.

      • Damn i remember they used to be $10.50 including bookong fees. Im showing my age…

        • You're showing that you don't watch movies at the cinemas very often. :P

        • @lint: Well I haven't had to organise tickets for awhile, last time I did, it was a year or two ago… When did they change it from $10.50 to $12.50?

        • +1

@ProjectZero: I think it was early this year or late last year (it might have been $11 with no booking fee though).

    • RAC $10.50 adult movie tickets, any cinema in WA.

    • Anyone can get Masterpass, you just sign up through the main generic Masterpass website rather than through your bank, and you can enter any credit card or debit you want, including Visa! I did it last time when signing up through the Commbank website wasn't working for some reason

  • Where can you pay $20.50 for an adult ticket? Does that include the cost of a taxi ride home?

    • That would be standard prices for village cinemas 21.50 Adult , 16.50 kids .. total rort… rather take the kids to JB hifi and let them spend $100 on DVD's than going to the movies these days… they wonder why piracy is rife….

  • I tried this the other week and commbank mastercard debit are not accepted for masterpass :(

    • I used CBA debit MasterCard without any issues. You just need to register for masterpass before using the cards.

  • I just booked two for $19.70

  • Welp, the masterpass site timed out when redirecting back to Event Cinemas so there's a charge on my account, but no record of the transaction, and the seats I chose don't seem to have been reserved.

  • $7.10 per ticket on Tuesdays! ($13 Masterpass ticket + bf)
