1 year warranty is nice for a used PC, but you can do a lot better and/or cheaper getting an ex-lease Dell from eBay.
I know they are not proper manufacturer refurbs like the above, but they are still reliable. Especially if you replace the old HDD with a new SSD.

    • I'll add that the HP refurbishment process is incredibly thorough and involves hours of burn in testing. Unlike apple you don't get a brand new shell, but anything with more than reasonable wear and tear will be binned. You should get brand new cables and accessories. With the field use and testing you should actually get a more reliable product than new.

  • Is the currency US$ or AU$?

      No, AUD, Including GST.

How distasteful that you should sneer at a post that seeks merely to advise people of the availability of cheap computers. Do you think it makes you look cool in some way? I realise that it's not the same as your epic posts about a Lego kit or a leather belt, but there are actually parents in Australia that need to get computers for their kids, and themselves, and don't need top end bank breaking specs. If you can't contribute something positive then why post a sneering negative disrespectful comment?

      • Have a look at what you get for the price, it's the lowest of the low in terms of specs, and it's refurbished. Fair comment.

$100 on gumtree can get you better, which is not unreasonable considering this dell stuff isn't new either.

      • Considering that bottom end desktop sells for $397 brand new with a [ admittedly low end]1600 x 900 monitor then as a second hand unit, I'd agree, nothing to see here.
Many of us still remember the FHD Chromebooks it took them a couple of weeks to realise they didn't have after taking the money…
