Who doesnt love a free gelato especially when its from Gelato Messina (Syd/Mel/GC)? Just download their app save a card for future payments & click on Claim link on the free $10 credit offer in the app. Make sure u select a store (for the offer to activate). Although you may use it anywhere you want. Hurry as its limited only to first 500 people doing all the above I just mentioned. Happy Ice Creaming :)

Oh BTW, the credit expires in 1 month.

Mod: Note that the app will debit your card $1 for a pre-auth validity check, it won't be charged as such according to comments.

    I found the app in the playstore pretty easily and it worked perfectly, sadly it expires in 1 month and I won't be in Melbourne yet :(. So I didn't claim.

      Exactly, you dont order from app. You simply let the staff know you’re paying with the app and they would help you out.

      Claim the deal in the app, check in to the store in the app, order your delicious frozen treat, then say you're paying via the app and show them your number. Claimed this deal last weekend and it went real smooth.

          My apologies as I cant find that anywhere now too. But if you see the price increase list, you could see the price differences across their stores. I am based in SYD and can surely say the prices at the Star are cheaper than in Darlinghurst.

    Says offer is only valid if you pay with Aston Club - anyone know what Aston club is?

    Not sure if this makes a difference but I am registered with Star City in Sydney as my local store

        Aston Club is a mobile payment service, basically we provide the payment setup with the Messina app that enables you phone to 'talk' with the POS in the Messina Store. We used to also have a consumer app called (also called Aston Club) but this has been removed from both App Store/Google Play as we focus on our mobile payment infrastructure.

      Can't figure this out. The link from their main page astonclub.com.au says "Item not found". I've brought stuff from these guys before via another app but I never didn't have to get an account with them.

        The Aston Club payment system is integrated into the app. Just click 'pay in-store' from the gelato messina app, click the payment option if you haven't already (e.g. paypal or CC) and a 'tab' will start (similar interface to aston club). Tell them your unique number that is displayed on your phone and it will be charged to your account (less the $10 credit already in there).

        You can still download the Aston club app from that link when opening from an android phone (not PC. i just did it). But it doesn't look like u need to use it.

          I've figured it out, it quickly pops up a message saying "your phone number has already been associated with an aston club account", you'd miss it if you blinked.

    logged into PayPal as the payment method and it instantly added $10 credit for those not wanting to add a CC directly to the app.

      You're spot on! The app supports Visa, MC, Amex (2% surcharge) + PayPal! We'll be adding Apple Pay & Android Pay ASAP; just need Google and Apple to update their local access.

      Think you might need to have enough credit on that card to pay for the balance. I suspect you can only use the $10 credit if you pay via the app and, therefore, any amount over $10 will be changed to the card.

      Well, to my best guess you can use the balance on multiple occasions. There is nothing mentioned (no asterisk) on the deal webpage.

    It only allows to me to add "a new card" which first requires to link to Aston Club (then refuses to link to Aston Club account, perhaps bc emails are different?) on iOS app.

    Any hints on how to add different payment methods?

      If you've already registered for Aston Club with your current number, you'll get this error. Just register with a new mobile number. I used an old number that isn't being used, you can probably just use a made up number too.

      Once you put through unique details (those not having been entered on Aston Club), you should be able to enter your credit card/PayPal details, then claim the credit.
