Not entirely free, still got to pay the S&H fee.
"Once approved, customer must pay a shipping and handling fee as determined by EVGA. No other shipping methods will be available for this promotion."

  • Not 'free', there is P&H. But it is a good deal.

So a 'L' shaped piece of plastic with some connectors on it "revolutionizes cable management" now? Really… come on, it just moves the problem of cables to another location albeit slightly further away.

    • I heard it improves gaming as well.

      • My AMD card has the cable on the side anyway. Isnt this common on many cards?

        • PCI-E power connector on side of the card is common, yes. In fact, the first GPU cards that required power had the power connectors in a very close location to where this 'revolutionary' piece of plastic now positions it back.

Wonder what the shipping cost will be to aus

    • Over 9000

    • $15 for one, $20 for 2-4 if you have more than one eligible card :)

      • I never got a response. I have two gtx 1070 :(

        • Yep so should be $20 for two of them! Thats USD btw

  • Awesome :)

I'm not sure what this is, and don't think shipping should be more than $5.. will wait and see I guess. I can't see inside my pc so should I care?

    • +2

No you shouldn't, it's literally only for people who want to make the power cables less visible. If you can't see them anyway then there is no point.

      • Ok thanks, what about my mate who's got a glass case that looks amazing but doesn't have an EVGA card, would this be compatible?

        • +1

Not sure if it'd be compatible since I'm not sure if it attached purely by inserting into the power slots or if it clips to EVGA's ACX cooler. You need to register an EVGA card to get the adapter anyway.

          EDIT:
Looks like the only clips are going into the power slots, which can be adjusted to fit different cards, so it would probably fit other branded cards.

        • @Lafrin: Yeah I was thinking of getting one and giving it to him as a gift.

edit - Request put through. We'll see what they say for shipping.

Read about this on Tom's. Here's a few details from there:

    • Item is free, shipping/handling is not
    • 1 per 10-series card, 4 max per account

    • Includes solid-state capacitors for power filtering

    • Adjust the spacing of the Powerlink’s connectors so that it aligns with your GPUs PCI-E ports
    • Supports multiple PCI-E pin configurations
    • EVGA also mentioned that the device wouldn’t affect your overclock speeds.

  • Submitted my request. Was a bit of a hassle having to find the invoice for my 1080. Hopefully shipping isn't insane.

a hassle having to find the invoice

You haven't kept your receipt for a $1000 graphics card?

      • It's hidden in my mailbox somewhere.

  • if i would have noticed the shipping isnt free, i wouldnt have posted this at first place…..i would rather the way it is than paying 10+ for a more stupid looking bracket….

    • Ill pay you $10 for it and your/mine shipping if you want

  • So they have posted European postage prices… not sure what this means for us however I can only guess it would mean postage will be around $20-30AUD mark which makes it pricey. I wonder how much these would actually sell for in store in AU once available, might be cheaper to buy one in store and pick it up.

    QTY 1
    Germany €9,99
Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom €14,99
    Other European Countries €17,99

    QTY 2-4
    Germany €14,99
Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom €19,99
    Other European Countries €23,99

    • They said originally 29.99 which I assumed was USD so maybe $50 brand new going down in price if/when noone buys them

So I found the evga AU powerlink promotion site and shipping will be $15USD for 1 and $20USD for 2-4
