Hey, a microgram of chilli went near the vat at one stage!

also known as the diabetes Type "One" box?

(just kidding, I'm off to get one now!!)

    • +32

I don't see how this could cause an autoimmune response that attacks your pancreas.

Type 2 diabetes is inflicted by your diet.

      • +68

Do people avoid inviting you to parties?

        • +22

Nope. It's just a terrible joke

        • -6

@Strahany: No it was a perfectly good joke but you just decided to be pedantic so you could sound smart.

        • +2

@MrMcHairyHead: Now you've done the same thing to yourself

        • -2

@hedonistic: I quite obviously have not.

        • -1

Is this a case of the "One" box causing you to get a bad case of "Number Twos" ?

  • +33

Literally just bought KFC and didn't know. Shattered.

    • +12

      time heals all wounds

      • +9

        time wounds all heels

      • +3

        Kfc heals wounds

    • +3

      so what's the problem?
      go back and get more.

      • +4

        Yes. Dinner sorted.

    • +1

Yeah all their good deals are secret once you enter the building

  • +3

That's expensive, man KFC use to be like $4.95 for a meal

    • +12

moon pies also use to be a dime.

      • +49

I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ‘em. “Give me five bees for a quarter” you’d say.

    • +10

I use to walk 5 miles to school and it was uphill both ways. True story. $2.50 for a quarter chicken and chips back then. The good ol' days? lol

      • without shoes, in the rain, in the snow and in hot weather…

        • +7

Luxury! We lived for three months in a brown paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six o'clock in the morning, clean the bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down mill for fourteen hours a day week in-week out. When we got home, out dad would thrash us to sleep with his belt!

        • +1

@samojed: Lol monty python ftw.then add in Rodney rude : we were so poor we gave each other "bj's " just to get something warm in our stomaches ….. too rude ?

  • Not quite as good as the 2 Box

    • +3

Half as good if you ask me.

  • +2

Not worth it unless burger included. Red roosters current ten buck box is better value at moment.

    • +45

Yeah but then you have to eat Red Rooster.

      • +12

And you have to find one.

        • In Wa so no such issue. Then again they have cbeen closing down left right and centre same with Oporto

        • +3

          @adrianhughes1998: Oporto is poo poo.

        • +1

@faceman54: I agree. Tastes bland and shit.

        • Who can't find Red Rooster? I drive past 3 of them on my way to work?

        • +6

          @billyb67:

Me too. I drive from Sydney to Perth every day though.

    • +8

Cut the bread roll in half and put the fillet in between, add supercharged sauce and you've got a burger

      • pfft. everyone knows in app you can substitute a dinner role for another small side.
(app doesn't actually list the dinner role in the one box!)

    • +2

Agreed! But I would say, Zinger stacker box is a better value

    • Whats this $10 box you does speak of?

      • Umm the red rooster box is like $12 or so. Nothing to write home about otherwise there would be a post on ozbargain. As for the one box. Meh didn't get my +1

        • Oh ok fair enough, I did go to red rooster today though but couldn't find anything good. Ended up getting a rippa wing box for 10 bucks… It tasted of disappointment ;(

  • +2

No comment on the kJ/cals yet?

    4858 kJ / 1161 cal.

    • +1

you can have 2 of these and be healthy

      • +1

        It's only 2035kJ btw.

        • +2

I saw that too, then I changed location of nearest (was set to Alice Springs) and and it changed to 4858

          Conspiracy?

        • +1

          @fattyboombatty:

Alright same when I entered postcode. 4858 kJ

        • There's no way it's that low. Must be listed with 3 servings per box or something.

    • +10

Because we all go to KFC with the intention of eating healthy, right?

    • +1

That's actually better than what I was expecting. The Supercharged sauce is insane for calories, plus it's just alot of chicken.

  • +19

I bought one of these last year. They left out the fillet so I complained by email. They sent me a voucher for a free one box, but left out the fillet again…

    • +15

complain and get a new voucher

      infinite kfc

      • +8

        with no fillet

      • I was still ahead. I know a true Ozbargainer would try to keep it going forever but I'm not that cheap :P

  • -1

    is this a deal?

  • +7

Seems to be $13.95 in WA, cause we're all still earning mining wages, apparently.

    Oh wait..

  • Does a middle eastern snack pack have more calories or this?

    • Depends. Just the snack pack with no sauce? Definitely less.

Add some cheese, some garlic sauce, some gravy and some BBQ sauce? About the same.

      • No Gravy.

    • +1

unsure, but it's 100% halal for sure.

  • +5

The "one" box. Containing one half of your recommended daily intake

    • +3

      Skip Breakfast

    • +2

Eat it at midnight for quarter of daily intake.

    • The 8,700 kj recommendation is too simplistic. Everyone needs a different amount of kj due to lots of factors.

I wouldn't stress too much on that. Besides it's KFC, so KJ is nothing :)

    • +2

Technically, that's makes it an adjunct…

    • +2

Your whole account was just to shame fast food and promote fruit?

      • Fruit is full of sugar, it's bad too.

        • However natural sugars

        • @Bearosaurus: True, but should cut down on sugar. Plus it's addictive. To be fair I only shitpost on the Internet I'm not going to actually tell someone not to eat KFC. Each to their own.

People say their chips are good. I hate them, seriously I think they are the worse. Unless they have changed since 2005?

        • @fruit:

The only thing thats good in my opinion is that amazing seasoning.

Btw you kind of implied it that you dont want people to eat KFC

        • @fruit:

To be fair I only shitpost on the Internet

          Lol

  • Might need a 'two' box to fill me up… the thing looks measly.

    • +6

      That's what she said

  • The one box gives you the number twos…

  • -8

I love me some KFC but you guys are brainwashed if you think this is ozbargain worthy.

    • raw cost is probably 5 bucks.

    • +4

I have to agree….I understand this is any day but the only deal that is 'great' is the 9 pieces for $10 deal + 2 large sides for $5.

      • Yep, agreed.

      • Is it still 2 large sides for $5….? Just got charged $5.95 for two chips? I hadn't bought for a while, so when I questioned it, the reply back I got wad "I work here,so I would know"
Oh dear, just letting me know they are in charge.

        • no its gone up to $5.95 BUT they shouldn't have been so rude to you about it, time to fill out one of their customer surveys i think.

        • @iluvpizza: They make you spend another 4.95 before you get a free chips and drink.

  • +1

Er, won't that Pepsi get warm in there with all that fried food?

    • -1

      it's behind the box

      • In that case I'll get one then.

        • +1

          Don't you mean one one?

        • @Lukian: Plus one for the Mrs.

        • @Gershom: one one plus one with tomato sauce?

  • +1

    KFC tonight!

  • -4

Ozbargain = proudly the extension of monopolised fast-food advertisement since 2016.

    • +2

That's a good point! Where's the deal here? This is the everyday price!

      • Cheaper than buying all the items individually

        • So every combo on KFC is a deal then?

        • +1

@Invidicus: if it's a limited time promotional offer, then yes, I believe it qualifies as a deal on OzBargain

    • I think its time to give this one up Invidicus.

Your comments are being negged into oblivion and the deal is getting a decent amount of plus votes.
Your point about it 'not being a deal' is at odds with the majority.

It's a limited time sale of products not bundled together and offering a cheaper price than buying separately.
That = deal… maybe not to you, but to others definitely.
