I believe this is as good as (or even better than) Adobe Illustrator. Affinity Photo is the replacement for Adobe Photoshop.

Thanks OP, great timing. Was just about to top up with another discounted iTunes card to grab it. Affinity Photo is excellent so far besides dealing with a few small issues with exporting to PSD files but sure will be worked out in time.
