These are completely different watches. I have a Nighthawk as a beater and absolutely love it. It is tough as nails. The weight is right, it feels solid, it has a great bracelet for the price and it's 200 WR. Definitely a great buy for the right price and you won't reget it.
You are right, they're two different types of watches. Luckily the price for this one shot up before I pulled the trigger, otherwise I'd have two watches ready to be sent haha.
I paid US$206ish all up. Although I probably should've bought during Prime day when they were US$136ish including shipping.
US$136 is good buying. Maybe Black Friday sales will have some excellent deals. Enjoy your Nighthawk, it's a heck of a watch for the money. Only downside is Natos won't fit without buying bent spring bars.

I got the standard US version sold and shipped from Amazon. I wanted the Japanese version but couldn't find any online retailers reputable enough for my liking.

$120 USD = $160 AUD, seems like it's still "50% off" but not sure if that's just standard Amazon advertising / pricing. Is this still a good buy? It does look like the watch I've been looking for, minimal watch face, steel bands.

Can somebody please help that purchased this watch through Amazon.com?
I was able to purchase one in addition to one from a seller that was fulfilled by Amazon, however I've received the same watch in 2 different style watch boxes (one watch box has the MSRP of $265 on it, the other just has a sticker with "Seiko Men's SNE241 Solar Dress Japanese Quartz Watch NEW" on it.
The larger box also contains some pamphlet with Jimmie Johnson, another set of instructions with a plain grey background and inside the watch has a white tag with SEIKO SOLAR on it. On the back of the watch, where the SEIKO is embossed into the links is protected in a plastic style wrapper.
The smaller box has a generic black tag with 2 SEIKO logos on it, no MSRP anywhere on the box and doesn't have a plastic wrapper over the SEIKO tag on the links.
If you purchased through Amazon.com can you please confirm which you received?
Would it just be a case of the smaller watch box being a Japanese import?
How long will it last without changing batteries?
