  • I am starting to feel a bit of a dummy, I can only find the Dan Murphy gift cards on their site and just rang them to be told you can only use them at Dan M. So where can I find the wish card cause the girl on the phone told me to go to Woolies.
    Grrr this is so annoying cause I can see you have all purchased the wish cards.

      It's not too late to purchase DM gift cards right?? DM gift cards = Wish gift cards, no difference.

      The eGift Card is basically a rebranded Wish eGift Card. Even though they say it only works at DM, it'll work at all Woolies Group stores. As mentioned earlier, it starts with the same number (680) as the Wish gift cards, and has the same number format for entering into the POS machines (xxxx-xxxx-xx)

      The physical gift card is strictly DM though.

        Actually the physical Dan Murphy's gift card it also just a rebranded physical WISH gift card. Confirmed this myself numerous times, even though I've been told by the DM checkout operators that it won't work at Woolworths.

        • Now it is much easier to know if you add the cards to Woolworths Money APP,not a rocket science.

          best to check the t&c printed on the paper card everytime to avoid disappointment.

      • My egift cards starts with 628 and has 19 digits. Seems like this can't be used at Woolworths as it is too many numbers for their POS, looks like I will have to stock up on alcohol.

          Are you sure you didn't also get a shorter version of that code? Or else try just entering in the last 10 digits, xxxx-xxxx-xx, since that's what it is… just the code without the first 8 numbers or so.

    no it's the Amex offer to the card that has expired, if you have the offer on your card all is well

      • It's supposed to be max registrations reached. If you've saved the offer already, you can still use it before it expires.

        • Ah right got it. I misread the initial comment.

          I thought that was obvious though. There's a clear expiry date on the actual offer. And I think the ozbargain tag helps too by saying "out of stock" as opposed to "Expired"

  • anyone received a statement credit from their purchase yet? have gone through 3 different card at the same day. but only one triggered a credit back.

    I know it say 5 working days. but these transactions processed like very much the same time but only one come through

      I got all of my credits. Purchases made 11/10 and all credits showed in my account yesterday 14/10

    • Anyone else got this problem? Purchased 3x (using different Amex card) on 11 Oct but only 1 card got credit back on 17 Oct, the other 2 still haven't got the credit? I purchased gift cards, not sure if they figure it out and cancelling the cashback of gift card purchase?

  • Tried my gift card today to find it's balance at $0. Looked like someone used it last Tuesday at Kingsgrove Woolies. Either I was hacked or some other reason like Dan Murphy's sending duplicates. Very strange, will be doing a chargeback.

    Found it very odd since I have enabled Two Factor Authentication and work in IT so I regularly update my own security from time to time. Nothing odd in activity details on Gmail either.

    • Call up Woolworths gift card service team on 1300665249, I have 2 gift cards emptied out already (1 from Dan Murphy, another 1 is an old e-gift card), and apparently the fraudulent cases have increased exponentially over the last 2 weeks!! My suspicion is that the Wish e-gift card system may have been compromised.

    • Same thing happened to my card except it was used in chullora.

    • One of my gift card is used at Hurstville and one is used at Revesby. Both showing $0 balance. Just contacted everyday gift card online. I did not even use any gift card.

      Yes, they have called me regarding my first loss. I will get a $60 physical gift card via post, additional $10 being the compensation for the inconvenience caused. I will receive an update for the 2nd gift card in due course.

        • Any update on this? Just tried to use my wish egiftcard today at Woolworths, should have had a balance of about $95. Found out someone in cleared it out on 18/10 in Rosehill, $50 used, and then another $45 on the same day

        • @arnottsmintslice: as per discussed earlier, call Woolworths team ASAP and they should be able to resolve it for you.

  • Anyone else having trouble adding their gift card to the Woolies money app?

    Also, for those who went through cash rewards, any joy getting the transaction tracked? I tried for all my cards and none got tracked.

      I tried adding the card in the app and it said invalid card. Checking the balance online works ok so I'd assume it would work when paying in store.

      Cash rewards did not track the order. I tried via a different cashback site and it only awarded cash back on the wine I bought.
